• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2008 SE5 Shifting Question

I just read on another forum that to put a 2008 SE5 in reverse you have to hold the mode button and hold the downshift button then push the R button. Is this right?

Not quite right..................

You do NOT need to press the mode button. Push down the "R" button, hold it while you flip the paddle to downshift to Reverse. If you're in Neutral to begin with, you only need to hit the paddle to downshift. If you are going from "First" to "Reverse", you can hit the paddle twice or hold it until it shifts to "Reverse". To go from "Reverse" to "First" you can hit paddle twice or hold it and it will go into 'First"

Interesting..!!

never heard of holding or tapping the mode button to get to revese. Could they be referring to getting the engine started then shifting to reverse..?? :dontknow:
