• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2008 se5 RS/Frustrated & Broken Hearted

You said that they changed almost everything at least four times. Did anyone ever think to replace the battery? I had a Harley with one bad cell in the battery . One cell would occasionaly reverse polarity and would screw up everything. Almost impossible to find. And it is the heart of the electrical system. Machinegunner
I am not even a decent tech anymore, but I had never heard of this before. This would make chasing a broken wire "easy".

I never owned a Honda Gold Wing, but I used to belong to GoldWingRoadRiders group. I have ridden Honda since 1962 and they are quility motorcycles, But the wing is as electroic as a Spyeder or close to it.
Read a copy of Wing World, workbench columun. They have their problems as well.
I have heard rumors of a Honda reverse trike, but it is to late for me. My Rt will have to do until I can not longer ride. Besides that. I enjoyed my 08 RS/GS and my RT a whole lot.

Studybaker, I didn't expect you to start changing wires or such. I was sugesting that you mention this suggestion to one of your better frustrated mechanics, it still has to be so simple that every one is over looking the solution. Machinegunner
