• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2 Wheels

I brought my RT to a 2 wheel stance around a corner yesterday. I was riding 2 up and gunned it at the wrong time while listening to a good rock song. It went down rather quickly but now Im wondering does this mean my VSS isn't working or can this still happen? I did notice the dealer over inflated my tires last night so maybe that helped this "getting on it situation"

Did that myself not long ago. My wife was on the back. She wasn't exactly overjoyed.

I've beat nanny to the punch a couple of times. But still if I try to make a turn too aggressively she reminds me she's still watching. The ones I don't like are those turns across oncoming traffic. Makes me re-think how much space I need to make the turn so as to not get her attention.

It happens..!!

ti the best of us..make sure you are set up for two up. Had an RT ahead of me last weekend do the same. Rear suspension was set to soft and weight tosses into the turn. Not to worry...:dontknow:

It can and will happen when and if nanny senses erratic operation. Did you even feel nanny kick in? Odds are she did and you may have been to busy dealing with the :yikes: to have noticed. Nanny likes smooth consistent input.

I didnt

I didnt feel the nanny kick in and no lights on the dash came on. This was what seemed like a very quick "Oh *****" to Billy Idol turn Rebel Yell.

Please explain what you mean by "nanny kicking in." :dontknow: I think you're talking about the computer, but I guess I've neer had that happen.

I can get my RS onto two wheels with sharp low-speed turns in parking lots without any difficulty, and without setting off the Nanny, either. :doorag:

I find that the Nanny is more likely to cut power during higher-speed maneuvers. But if you "trick it"-- say, during those slow speed sharp turns, or high speeds on off-camber roads-- there can be a substantial bit of lag before it kicks in, if it even does.

Bottom line: the Nanny is there to help keep you out of trouble, but it's not sufficient to do so all by its lonesome-- you gotta be smart, too!

I think all of us that have pushed it a little hard have done the same thing. I remember doing it making a left turn at a stop light in Daytona. I was showing off to my buddies on the other side of the light and I hit it a little too fast and it felt like the wheel lifted a foot, not sure if it did but that's what it felt like. The Nanny has it's limitations too. If the road is cambered right and you happen to steer hard enough into a turn it can lift. The good news is you didn't roll it like you would have on trike with two wheels in the rear.
