• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2 weeks and my spyder is still in the shop for a clutch...

I had my :spyder2: in last year for 3 wks for a bad idle valve. They had to order the part or I would have got it back the same week. I am glad that I had something else to ride while it was in the shop. Hope it is finished soon.

I think that I'd be calling them just about every day after the normal time for their UPS deliveries...
Good Luck!

One of my favorite complaint/rant issues. Holding the :spyder2: hostage while waiting on the dealer either to just look at the bike, or waiting for parts. I refer to it has holding the :ani29: hostage.

Agree with Spyder Ann: I would be calling or visiting on a regular basis to find out the status. They should be going out of their way to get you on the road. If it is a backorder problem with parts, they should have you in the loop--so you at least know what is going on. I also believe in "trust, but verify".

Some dealers have the habit of working on :spyder2:'s on "their" time which can take a week or so before they even look at it. Others don't do enough :ani29: business to put a parts order in on a weekly or sooner basis. Either way, the :spyder2: owner is left holding the bag.

Hoping your dealer is not one of those. Let us know how this works out for you.

Get the jump on them..!!

If the story is parts, hunt them down yourself. Then inform them where they are or offer to get the parts for them on their dime...just a thought has worked for me, parts are out there..:dontknow:

Had to rebuild my clutch. Ordered them online and they were in my mail box in 3 days. I just looked and there not on back order. 2 weeks is way out of line.

Not much info in his post but it sounds like another dealer who isn't up to the task. For whatever reason!

Sad to say, but... :agree: :gaah:
Waiting for parts is about the oldes line of :cus: that they've been handing out ... :sour:

Parts Wait

I hope you don't have wait five months like I did for a left hand switch assembly My dealer was always meeting me at the door!,

The finally called late this afternoon

And said it was ready. Will pick it up tomorrow. Hopefully no problems.

Michael
