• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pretty soon you'll have to carry rocks in your pockets to keep from blowing away. Congratulations on the results. It has to make you feel better.

 But... there's less of you to love...

Seriously: :congrats: on the progress, and please keep us posted about it! :firstplace::clap::2thumbs:

LOSS

That sounds like a Dangerous amount to lose in that short a period of time......I'm sure your Doc is monitoring this closely .................Mike :thumbup:

when i say, since i started, i mean from the time i decided to lose weight and have the surgery. right before the surgery i was on a liquid diet for 2 weeks, so i loss some weight with that. then for the last 2 weeks i am still on liquid, so we are looking at a period of 1-1/2 to 2 months of loosing weight.

Be careful of those "Liquid Diets"...
The choice of liquids can have serious consequences!

(For the record: my Brother has 7 DWI/DWAI convictions...)

i would love to get down around 200 pounds. but i am sure that is far down the road. i don't want to keep weighing myself because i could get discouraged if i am not loosing. and they say it is very easy to start gaining weight again, and i don't want that

Great new John, and keep losing those pounds. Your health will be better in the long run, less stress on your heart with the weight loss, AND, as an added benefit, you will probably get better gas mileage on your Spyder!

If 200# is your goal, go for it. Did your dr. mention anything about skin tightening?

i am not really a big guy as far as that goes. most people that i tell how heavy i am say they can't believe it. i am sure i will have some extra skin, but will see what it is when i get there.

:clap:CONGRATS on the progress!!!!! Set your goals and keep striving toward them. You can do it!!!!

Don't get discouraged

The weight loss at first is dramatic and then slows down like you said . My riding buddy had it done and was really getting discouraged that he was only losing slowly . The doctor told him that always happens and to just keep trying and stick to it . Your first real meal will taste so good after you're off the pureed foods and liquids .He can't even eat two eggs now and he's full. Just keep plugging away and stay away from the scales and you'll be happy. Do you go to any therapy groups ? My buddy says they really help.
