• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi all over got a 2014 rt with the
1330 in it and with my wife and I on it
it seem s like it will not go pass 70
with out making a noise like it can't do it
has any one experience this before.

Thanks for all your help

No two up experience here--but there appears to be enough residual power in any gear to just crank the throttle, get up and go.

Are you folks close to or over the weight posted for general operation of the :ani29:? Of course, I don't have the manual with the numbers in front of me.

My experience is that I can blow by 70 at will.

A trip to the dealer might be in order. You are the first that I can recall mentioning the 1330 being underpowered or unable to make 70 mph.

EDIT: Weight limit per BRP manual for 2014 RT--Page 97
494 # including passengers and cargo.

I ride two up about 50% of the time and have had no problem going as fast as I want. I agree with the other commentors that you should take it to the dealer.

Wife and I ride two up all the time..... total of 410 lbs.:yikes:.... we cruise at 85 all day long. Take it back for service.

 What EXACTLY does that noise sound like?
Are you sure that it doesn't sound like your Better-Half; telling you to SLOW DOWN!!! :yikes:

The 1330 will manage speeds that are faster than you'd ever want to go... check in with your dealer about this...

When riding 2 up and going over 70, the only loud noise I hear is from my wife! :roflblack:
mine doesn't peep until i hit the 80 mark! then i get a little cuff (she calls it a love tap) on the side of the helmet!:roflblack: i'd be taking it to the dealer. something is drastically wrong unless your wife had a govenor put on it.

what the heck is the weight limit?? the 1330 is made for two riders. I have a 2014 RT Limited and my woman and myself ride everywhere including hills/mountains and have NEVER had a problem?? on the open road I've cranked mine up to 85 and still had a lot of throttle left... not interested in going any faster especially with the love of my life on the back saddle?????? :2thumbs:

Wt. Limit: Per BRP 2014 RT User Manual--494# including cargo.

We ride 2 up most of the time. We are very close to the weight limit on the bike. We have easily had the bike over 100 once when passing a semi on a 2 lane. We cruise at 80-85 most of the time on the freeway.
You definitely have something wrong.

I ryde 2 up all the time on my 13 RTL and it will go as fast as I want it to. Never have an issue. I think you might have a clutch slipping or something

I don't have a problem going fast
When I used to ride to up if :f_spider: wouldn't go fast enough I just pushed the passengers ejection seat button :yikes:
Problem solved :2thumbs:
Now she's my X

1330 on the Autobahn...

After having purchased a st ltd used a few back, the dealer lent me a 1330 last saturday. took her on the Autobahn, solo,
openend up, let her run between two exits. At about 115 mph, close to 185 kmh, I still had plenty left in the throttle, but had to come to about 75 mph because without the windshield its more like a workout at the gym. ( average speed on the Autobahn is around 95 mph and up if no traffic)

Peter
