• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2-Up Suggestions? for new F3

On a cold winter's day in February, we decided on a whim to trade in our 2015 RT for the 2016 F3 Triple Black Special. We ended up dealing with iMotorsports. Jason handled everything very efficiently and the new one was delivered in early March. Of course, because Ohio weather was crummy, it sat in the garage until yesterday. We took it out for a first ride and what a rush!

The first change was exchanging the passenger pegs for footboards. The second upgrade is a call to F4 Customs this week for a windshield. I have the backrest on. Are there any other additions that make the passenger (wife) comfortable? She is used to riding passenger on 2-wheels and feels this is similar and is pretty happy, except for the wind buffeting. After reading all the threads on here, I'm hoping the new windshield with help with that.

We will be riding 2-up most of the time, so just wondered if any passengers out there had anything to add.

Very Happy Spyder Riders!

As far as the buffeting is concerned, anytime you go with a fixed windshield with little adjustability means one of you will always be uncomfortable. If you go with a really tall screen that covers her, on warmer weather riding solo you will be hot and there's nothing that can be done if you can't bring the screen down. I know the F4 can be fitted with a vent but that's not really for riding comfort but more of a relieve for back pressure.

F4 Windshields for the F3

You will love the performance for both the rider and co rider.
Look forward to your call.

Get the upgraded rear shock.. or an aftermarket one if you can afford it.
The F4 works great, but you may need more... I put an MRA-X screen on and all head buffeting is gone. I would think this would be a must for a passenger....

They make a clamp-on and bolt-on. Fully adjustable... works great.

Firefly did you mount the bolt on or clamp on and if it was the bolt on I am assuming you drilled through the F4 shield then and if so how did that go?? XMan

I did the clamp-on. Was going to leave it that way until I decided I liked it for sure. I love it.. but the clamp system works so well I think I'll just leave it as is. No drilling required.

Cool --- I am gonna order the clamp on one .. I figure you run yours pretty hard and I know you are not a 70 MPH guy more like 90 MPH on the interstate so if it holding up to your abuse I KNOW I will do just fine with the clamped one.. Thanks man and see you soon.. XMan

I too just purchased a F3S.. Can someone in detail, explain what a different rear shock will do better than the present one. I weigh about 220lbs and the wifey is 100 lbs. What is the approximate cost for one of these better shocks? We will only be riding two up about 20% of the time.

I agree. That's really the best option for the F3.
