• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2 questions from a "relatively new" Spyder owner.

I have 2 questions for you experienced Spyder owners.

1.) When I'm at a stop sign and ready to turn right or left, I give it a good amount of throttle with intentions to REALLY zip around the corner. My Spyder tends to "gurgle/miss" a bit until I straighten out from the corner.
I don't know if there is a problem or if that is one of the systems on the Spyder keeping my rear tire from breaking loose around the corner. It doesn't do it when going straight from the stop sign or going around the corner slowly.

2.) When I go to start the bike, I get the check engine light. To get rid of it, I just TAP the start button to fire the starter but NOT start the bike. It then goes off. I then start the bike and NO light. Any ideas on that???

I would appreicate any feedback or ideas.
Thanks in advance.

1. You trigger the VSS
2. Normal; if is still on after you Spyder start, address to a Can-Am dealer to service that. nojoke

:dontknow:
Just for my own curiosity, Why tap the starter button and not start the engine?

Interesting poing Doc makes on the VSS kicking in. I have had the same thing happen, but did not really think I was pushing it through the corner hard enough to kick in the VSS. I was actually attributing it to my K&N air filter and Hindle combination without a Juice Box to richen things up. I see you have a Hindle as well, just out of curiosity what air filter are you using?

If the check engine light is staying on after the Spyder is started, I would have a dealer check it out as well.

The engine is TOTALLY stock... I don't have the smarts to do any mods like that. I was hoping that it was just the VSS causing the issue. I guess it makes sense.

As far as the engine light, I don't see it other than when I go to start it. I just have to tap the starter and turn the motor over and it goes away. Weird...:dontknow:

That's the only way I can get the Check Engine light to disappear.
If I start the engine, the check engine light stays on.

If the light stays on ' I would have it checked out, Might be something simple, or as they say in Brooklyn it might get Woster.
