• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1st the good one: the rear trunk on my RT-S 2011 is waterproof: you can make an aquarium of it and it does not leak, so I am guessing it should be safe from rain etc.
2nd news... The bad one: a brand new Reda gas can leaks like its paid for: 1/2 gallon of gas spilled in my trunk... Must another POS made in China!!!

Was the cap on tight ? Did a seam leak ? I think you can ride with these things on there sides with no leaks. :dontknow: :popcorn:

The cap needs to be real tight, which would take it past the locking tabs. You might also want to check the rubber ring on the poor spout, making sure that the spout is still in the grove of the rubber ring. When you fill the gas can fill it almost to the top and when you put the cap on turn the can upside down making sure it will not leak. I put two cans in my Harley bags just in case my wife needed gas on our way to Americade. We took almost all back roads from Tennessee a little over 1000 miles and no problem. Now with this all said you may have a bad gas can or think you do, just give Reda Innovations a call and they will take care of you, 706.364.7643.

My Reda Gas Can has been on the road with me for 5000 plus miles now without a wiff into the surrounding area... I agree with the suspicion above that you were misfortunate in getting a defective one (not the norm).. Better luck to you in the future.. That can has come in handy more than once.
