• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I met a man 4 or 5 months ago. He was ryding a SE5. I was on my way to work and didn't really have time to talk. Well I found out he doesn't live to far from me. I dropped in a couple of times to invite him to ryde with Gulf Coast SpyderRyders, but he was never home.

I went by there today and he was outside cutting grass. After introducing myself, we got to comparing :spyder2:'s and mods. He has a great mod for deflecting the heat off you right foot. Sorry no pic. I did not have my camera.
He took some plexiglass (he painted it black) bent it to the same angle as the side panel. Cut to fit pattern of panel. Drilled a hole in the plexiglass that lines up the the rear bolt on the side panel. He notched out where it comes in contact with his KelwMetal Hwy Mounts. He says it deflects all the heat downward under your foot.

When I mentioned I had never ridden an SE5. He let me take it for a spin.
It was different but I liked it! I could get use to ryding one. I like how it gear down on its own. He says its the best bike he has ever owned. He's getting between 35-40 MPG. He never had any trouble, but low speed sputtering/surging until he installed the juice box. He two bros (single) sounded awesome.
I told him about SpyderLovers. Maybe he join in sometime.
