• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are you up for an adventure?

How about 150 miles of great riding that begins with food, has more food and ends with ice cream? If you haven’t already heard, Cooter’s Place in Sperryville Va, owned by Cooter (Ben Jones) from the Dukes of Hazzard will be closing for good in October. The closing is related to unresolved issues with local zoning over parking at the facility. So, in order to squeeze in a last or even first visit, we are planning a Spyder road trip. The trip will include a lunchtime stop for food, souvenirs and photos at Cooter’s Place.

The trip will start from the Food Lion parking lot on Frost Ave (RT 211) in Warrenton with KSU at 9 AM. Some of us are planning on starting with brea...kfast at the IHOP on RT 29 (6445 Lee Hwy, Warrenton) beginning around 7:30 AM. Most of the route will be on secondary roads with nice scenery and some fun curves and switchbacks.

The planned morning route will be about an 85 mile circle heading north from 211 on RT 688, then circling west (RT 55) through Front Royal, down through Fort Valley (RT 678), then back over the mountain on 211 to Cooter’s Place.

Following lunch we will head south along the base of the Blue Ridge toward Haywood, then east to Culpeper and finally after about 50 miles or so, circling back north to Warrenton by mid-afternoon for an ice cream stop at the Carousel (RT 211 and RT 29) just ¼ mile from our starting point, where the adventure officially ends.
Rain date will be the following day, Sunday 18 September.
