15" tires and handling

Everybody's talking about the new suspension and bigger brakes on the 2013 models. :thumbup:
Do you think that changing to a tire with a lower aspect ratio helped keep them from heeling over in the turns too? :dontknow:

Absolutely, that's the same reason that BMW's and other sports cars use low aspect tires.

Lamont in his review of the changes said it was better than his spyder even with all the suspension modifications he made to it. I trust his judgment.

BRP did wonders for the Spyder by adding low profile tires. If I'm not mistaken I thought I read that they also made the factory swaybar better. If I'm right about the swaybar, the Spyder will handle awesome with these new features. :thumbup:




As far as the new brakes are concerned, The old brakes are top notch (besides the earlier squealing Pads) so I could care less about Bremos.

:agree: Not only cars, "the unnamed" front tires are 205-40-17 and back 275-30-19.

BETTER HANDLING

jimho, Just switching to car tires on the 14 inch rim Spyders makes a big difference in handling......the sidewalls are stiffer on car tires compared to the OEM's......Mike
