They could have made it clearer by using a question mark. PAUSE? RESUME? It really is logical, even by US standards...you press the button to initiate the command that is shown.

:agree: it is logical--but it just makes you have to think about it. I had to go back to the manual a couple of times before I had it figured out. The question does pop up on a pretty regular basis though.

Found the way to make it work... Maybe BRP is using engineers formed by Citroen: how to find complicated solutions to no problems!! (Whats the use to pause an odometer, really?).
Went for a small ride today... Exactly as I remembered my 2 days on the prototype: 5 generations ahead from my 2011!! Still do not like the brake/gearshift and the sequence for reverse (and the jury is still out for the, lack of, frunck switch).

Sort like your VCR/DVR player. To make it stop you hit PAUSE( || ) and to make it run you hit PLAY/RESUME ( > ). I was confused at first to until I used that analogy.

I have/had a couple of Zumo 550 on bikes including on my RT... The 660 has a bigger screen, more not really useful options ( like the multiple choices of vehicle) some real boring features like your speed getting red when you are over the speed limit (shown too but wrong very often)
I like the real picture coming on in a lot of ramps/intersections to show where to go.... Garmin software to download on your PC is still a problem: took 2 different computers to finally load and as I type this... 2 hours to update the GPS (or is it to corrupt my PC and steal all my datas??).
Went yesterday for a ride with my Norton pals.... This new RT has really covered all I did not enjoy with my -11: great smooth engine, not the busy bee of the strange VTwin, better power assistance in the twisties, nannies flashing at you before slapping you, brakes with a better immediate feel and response. My usual passenger (who was the one insisting to get it, honest!) is beaming: more comfort and a lot less rolling impression... Even started to fell asleep on it!!
