• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330 oil pressure

I installed a volt meter and oil pressure gauge on my 2014 RT limited
The oil pressure at running temp. at 3000 rpm is 45 psi
the pressure at 900 rpm is 11 psi
according to the service manual the min. at 4000 rpm is 58 psi and at 900 rpm is 8.7 psi
also according to the manual is pressure switch is set to activate at 2.4 psi at 900 rpm and 5.8 psi at 400 rpm
I think this will be a great tool in the future
If the high or low rpm oil pressure drops I should be able to catch it before any major damage can happen
I do not want to wait till light comes on that is to low and major damage has already happened
This is just for your info

Not to worry..!!

the nanny will let you know before anything bad happens by way of an orange screen limp mode or total shut down. But it is a great feature to have. I used it to check oil condition in the old days when oil was just oil with a weight...pic's would be nice and congrats..!! :2thumbs:

Bike is all dirty [been ridding instead of cleaning :yes::yes:]
Did not want you guys to see my dirty bike :yikes::yikes:
Will try to get pictures tomorrow

Riding instead of cleaning is nothing to be ashamed of. After all, you bought it to ride, not to sit around and clean it. I do look forward to seeing the pic's of the gauges.

That's a good info, but are we going back away from the new tech. nanny is well employed. Like flying, at night we need to fly with IFR and need to trust these instruments like nanny.

Nanny is still hooked up and working
But she can not detect gradual changes in pressure [she is an on/off switch]
She just yells at you when its too late
Pressure gauge can tell you when things start to wear out
So you don't start a long trip and get stuck in the middle of nowhere
Volt meter can tell you if your charging system is working properly
So you are not running on just your battery until it is dead then you stop

Been ridding it every day since I bought it Jan. 24th

I do take a little time in the morning now and then to clean it
then I go out and get it dirty in the afternoon
Lots of bugs this time of year

What did you tap your oil pressure gauge into?? Thanks Ron

I removed the original oil pressure switch [10mm thread] and installed an adapter [10mm x1/8npt]
I used a stainless steel brake line from there to the bike frame
Then installed a "T" [tied to the frame]
[1/8x1/8x10mm]
the original pressure switch in the 10mm hole, the brake line and new sending unit in the two 1/8 holes
do not put a "T" right off the engine it is too much weight and the "T" will eventually crack
hope this helps

Nice mod. Did all the adaptors come with the kit?

No
you get the oil pressure gage and the pressure switch
I went on the internet and searched for the brake line and the 10mm x 1/8 npt adapter
and the "T"
this was awhile ago so I do not remember the web site

Do not force a 1/8 into the 10mm it will leak and they are very close to the same size
