• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

12v trunk plug

The wiring is on the left rear side looking toward the rear of the spyder there should be a rubber plug that you remove and wiring is behind that. I agree I bought one for 5 bucks on eBay

12 v plug

Yep that should work fine.....remember the frunk is removable so be sure where you put it ....it won'r get snagged if you take off the frunk.........and if you don't have Amazon Prime and get free shipping on everything just look on E-bay and choose free shipping first........Mike

TRY THIS

LOOK AT THE TOP LEFT SIDE, WHICH IS THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SPYD3R, AND YOU'LL SEE A 12V ADAPTER... I WIRED IT DIRECTLY TO THE BATTERY.... WORKS LIKE A CHARM.... PS; the bag is hanging from it....

Why did you wire it directly to the battery if the wires are right there waiting for you? You wanted it to remain on when the key was off i am assuming?

Look on the rear frunk wall on the right side facing rear. You should see the round rubber plug Scott half way down

On my 2013 base RT the wires were there behind the rubber plug. You just have to watch and be sure to get the positive and negative plugged on correctly. The rubber boot to cover the plug is probably there also. OK, getting the wires on the plug and the boot over it all is a real b**** of an operation. The wires have right angle spade connectors on them. I found it was easiest to slip the lock nut over the wires, pull the wires through the hole and connect to the plug, and then put the plug through the hole and finagle the lock nut and rubber boot on. It'll be a lot easier to get in there if you take the battery out first. Or, take the frunk off completely. It's a very tight fit back there.

You get full time power to it moving the aux power fuse from F6 to F5, or whatever it is. That has been discussed here a lot in the past.
