• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

12V power outlet

Just got my recent service bulletin update of BUDS and fuse box. While they were in there I asked the technician to move the #6 fuse to the #7 spot to make the 12V outlet hot all the time. On my 2013 RT-S there was no fuse in the #6 spot, in fact when he had the box moved to do the seal repair, there are no wires going to the #6 fuse location. Had a fuse in #7 so I assumed the problem was taken care of. Got home and checked the 12V and is only hot when ignition on. They are going to call BRP on Tues to find out what gives but I wondered if anyone else has an answer to this dilemma.

my new 14 is the same. but i used 6 for my gps on dash set works great.. so 6 is not used but 7 is for rear box hot with key only..

I have always been leery of circuits where you choose the function by placing a fuse in one slot or the other. What happens if you put fuses in both slots? What happens if they are not the same values? The only safe way for this approach to work is to have a fuse location with three terminals. You place the fuse to one side for one function, and to the other side for the alternate. The fuse itself prevents using both circuits at once. Perhaps they had problems and changed this during the production run? :dontknow: Let us know what they say.

Make shure when you get it has the new update done to in all 4 of them. Do not leave with out all of them done. 1evap can raped. 2 master barke raped to. 3 up date soft ware for heat and fuel mag done, 4 always ck your oil after each days ride. Have fun and ride far way

Works just fine on my ST and it has the identical wiring harness as the RT. By the way if you have the optional outlet in the front it is the same fuse as the rear one.

Al, I tried to swap the fuses on my 2013 and it didn't make the 12volt hot.
You put the fuse into #7, right? If so, and the accessory plug in the trunk, front one too if you have one, isn't hot then you have a bad fuse or a bad harness connection. There are only three connections between the fuse and the plug, the one at the fuse box, the cargo interconnector, and the one on the plug. If the plug is hot with the fuse in 6 and the key on, then the problem is at the fuse box, or maybe the junction in the harness.

I have an early 2013 RT Limited and moving the fuse worked to make the rear plug hot at all times. Just like the owners manual said.
