Took the Spyder to my dealer in Middletown OH today for the "12,000" mile service (I have 14,500 on it). 3 hours job in-and-out. Here's the breakdown of services performed.
I am pleased with the service. Great thing was I came in with a list of things to be done, things I've done (Y gaskets, coolant check, oil changes/ strainer, air filter - Evoluzione HP) and the dealer put all that info in the shop record tied to the VIN. Didn't have time to do the brakes but the fluid looked nice and clean still. I've thrown no error codes according to the BUDS. I'll be adding Ride-on in the back tire soon. All in all the spyder is in great shape. I keep a close eye on everything and it shows. Brake pads have less than 50% wear so should last for quite a while more. Back bearings holding firm. I'll probably wait until spring to put in my Iridium plugs.
Basically...there were zero surprises and even the mechanic mentioned for the miles and hours I've put in on he's seen few in any better shape.
- Inspected and adjusted front pulley
- Inspected rear bearings (look fine)
- Replaced rear tire w/Kuhmo Ecsta AST (tire looks bada$$)
- Greased entire front end - susp arms, tie rods, ball joints
- Inspected and adjusted drive belt
- Inspected front wheels/alignment (holding fine from 6K adjustment and tread looks great on both)
- Inspected all shocks
- Replaced clutch fluid
- Inspected reverse mechanism
- Inspected plugs (14K plus and still going fine on OEM's)
