• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1200 mile trip on Spyder

I just returned from a 1200 mile trip to put a Russell Day-Long saddle on my Spyder. The seat pan is velour for breathability and it is sprung for my weight (260 lbs.). My next change is to install the brackets for some highway pegs. Then, I will put a windshield on. The Spyder was a terrific ride -- very relaxing. It invited a lot of attention and some interesting conversations at gas stops, etc.

I think when the Spyder is setup right it is good for the long haul. :doorag: :spyder:

I have used Russell Day Long saddles over the years with great results. What did the new saddle cost you? I would love to have a Day Long for my Spyder.

Ride safe and stay well.

The new seat with a new backrest in velour was $800+ with the ride-in. Mail in would be cheaper. I can take pictures with my cellphone camera but I don't know how to get them transmitted for posting.
