• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

12 volt socket adding another?

I have installed a 12 volt socket on the spyder but was thinking the other day it might be nice to have two one on each side of the handlebars. Anybody done this without hiccups, blown fuses etc, thanks.

This thread shows where a guy put them in the "Y" panel:

Now... A lot of us have done this:

Those are powerlets. They are both smaller than a standard U.S. 12volt jack but also lock together so the mating plug doesn't vibrate loose. - Handy when on a motorcycle.

They aren't cheap, but are worth it and you would have to order the right power cable for your GPS, etc or make your own. The GPS's usually run 5volt, so you can't just make a regular 12volt jumper for them... I ended up buying the one they sold that stepped down the voltage.

They also make powerlet mounts for the bars too. Good luck!
