There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. The f3s has three customer accessory circuit points - frunk, under left hand tiny panel (top), under back seat. All hot only when engine on. Also gps connector point, location varies. I think it is in your owners manual. Lots of threads with alternatives as to where to put your plug. We just bought Narva weatherproof plugs from local auto accessories store.
