• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

119 days of no rain is over

No measurable rain here for 119 days ended with a bang. Two thunder cells merged and dropped over 2 inches of rain in 40 minutes. We had wind gusts up to 71 MPH and lots of downed trees and limbs. We badly needed rain. But, holey moley…….get the ark ready.

Yikes...!!!

Yeah...it's like here, we need the rain but not all at once....:yikes::yikes:Ground gets do dry the water just runs over the top and floods till it can soak in...:banghead:

We also need rain, the lawns are brown here.

Last week we had a heat wave( 7 days straight) with very high humidity.

This week the weather has decent. Low humidity. Temps in the 80s.

Posted this many hours before my inappropriate rant. I deleted that thread thanks to help from some here. I got over it.....:opps::opps:

We sustained a lot of damage in the neighborhood. Probably 10-20% of the homes in my housing development have noticeable damage. Lots of roof shingles, awnings, carports, & trees littering the streets and golf course. The only damage we had was to our flag pole. The wind bent it 90 degrees at the ground. Left it laying flat in the yard. Several power poles on the main street a couple of blocks away were knocked down. Lots of repair and clean-up crews out today. The storm had a pretty good punch.....
