• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1000kms

Hey all, winter storage is almost upon us here in Canada. Should I change the oil out with such little kms. Or just leave it? I was also thinking just empty the oil out and fill in spring, don't change filters. With only 1000kms, makes not much sense to change the oil before it sits over winter. Thanks all

With just 600 miles on it I'd take it out for a ride of at least 70 km so everything gets fully up to operating temperature and lay it up until spring.

I am usually the one that's saying change it out for winter storage!! But not with1000km on the oil! Put your tender on the battery, stabil the gas, and put the blanket on the thing!! Hope you get to ride it more next year!! Good night!!!

Thanks all, I picked the bike up last weekend in Sept, so not much mileage. I was thinking the same, very low kms do I really need to change. Maybe just dump oil but keep same filter but probably wont even do that. Thanks

Thanks all, I think I will go with what all of you are saying, just keep it and ride and change next yr winter storage.

I'm in Ontario as well, Frankie69, picked my 2018 RTL up in Thunder Bay (dealer demo) and rode home first week of September with temps as low as 4C (39F for you southerners) :) ... still riding up as far as yesterday but I think it's finally time to put her away until spring!! Im in York Region just south of Lake Simcoe as a reference.... never so much as sat on an RT before getting on and driving it 1400km/900 miles home. Quite the adventure!
