• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yesterday went on a 100 mile ride. Pros and cons. Pro. Enjoyed the ride out. Con. My a$$ started to get uncomfortable. The set needs a lot more cushion. I can't see me riding 1,500 miles on that set. I need more padding. Any ideas?? :chat:

Lucky dog, I've been in the office all weekend.

I have a Corbin seat and it is great. I haven't had tons of long rides yet, but it is comformtable. I know others have the russel day-long seat and love it too. Do a search for these seats on this forum and you should find all the info you need.

I have been looking around the forum to see if anyone has tried these Guys yet for a seat mods, http://www.bikesolutionsllc.com/spyder.htm Below I took this from there web site on what they do to the Spyder stock seat.

WingSoft Spyder seats are the most economical way of getting a comfortable seat for the Can Am Spyder. We developed this modification using our own Spyder so we know it’s a dramatic improvement over stock. Through many miles of road testing, we discovered how to make the stock seat comfortable. The first thing you will notice with our seat is an increase in back support, and an immediate improvement in the comfort level.

By using the stock seat, we guarantee a perfect fit, at a significant cost savings. Our seat modification flattens out the rear portion of the driver seat. We remove foam from the stock seat and replacing it with a higher density foam that gives you support while giving the seat a more comfortable shape. The WingSoft seat retains the stock looks, but in no way retains the stock feel. If you suffer tailbone pain, or feel like you are sliding forward, Wingsoft has the solution. If you are perfectly happy with the feel of the stock seat, you can still have the custom look by having us change out the seat cover.Due to the thin factory vinyl, all seat modifications require a new WingSoft vinyl cover.

You might check out Air-Hawk.... great little cushion, I have one.. very good for long rides. Don't need for 100 mile stuff.. but for longer rides ... I use it until I find a better and hopefully inexpensive solution.

I'm waiting to see what the BRP seat looks like...that is, if they ever get it to market...it's supposed to be out now...but we know how long it takes for BRP to get things going...argh!

We have a great contact for BRP accessories so the price should be pretty good!

After almost a year of owning a Corbin seat I have to say that I am so glad I made the purchase. I make frequent long rides in the saddle and the Corbin is perfect.

Thats too funny !!!

Took mine on a 150 miles rtide last weekend, was not bad. Way better then I thought. Weather has been bad all weekend, no riding here though.

Maybe thats why my Spyder seems more comfortable now. All this time I was thinking it was the Russell seat.
Weight when I bought the Spyder - 220lbs.
Weight today - 255lbs.
:opps:

If only fattening food didn't taste so good. :D
