I haven't been paying too attention to this matter but I seem to recall a couple of posts stating that for some reason the new oil change/filters/etc hasn't been approved for CA as yet.
No clue as to why.
It helps because you don't have to take off any of the painted panels.
I did drill the support and that is approved by BRP now. :doorag:
When you say it is approved by BRP, what exactly does that mean? Is there an approved size, location or what? Is there BRP documentation of any kind ? I asked my dealer about any information they may have on the drilled hole and they had no idea what I was talking about. However, thay agree that it would be a good solution and solve the problem.
I was looking at your picture of where the panels were removed and did not see the new sticker attached to the side of the oil tank. Did you forget to put your stick on?:banghead::banghead::yes:
Tell them to look it up in BossWeb, it's there.
For those of us that don't have easy access to our dealer, what does it say? Is it something that BRP is going to pay the dealers to do ? It seems like something they should be addressing and it should be on their nickel.
We're talking about drilling a hole, it's a TST (Technical Service Tip). It's one on those things you can do if like or not. All I'm saying is you can drill the hole and BRP won't have a problem with.
I just did an oil change with the new setup and it took 10 minutes to pull the panel and drain all the oil and remove both filters. This is WAY faster than the old way. Thumbs up to BRP for this mod.

I have not received my letter from BRP for the new panel. Are they still rolling them out or is mine MIA?
You need to check and make sure your dealer turned in your purchase info to BRP. I've heard that some are not in the BRP system...Go figure:banghead:
..
I dont understand why but if you live in California you won't be getting one.
We did not get a letter because per CA. law BRP could not include us in the new maintenance schedule. But, that does not mean you can not get the new panel. Check with your dealer and see how he is handling it. Probably pay to play since we don't have a letter to give him for reimbursement.
Not sure why we didn't get at least the letter. Oversight? :dontknow:
