Finally installed the BRP 1" Riser and don't know why BRP does not make it stock. Having ridden all summer with stock and switching to 1" today, what a difference an inch makes. I know there are many fans of higher risers, but from a basic design view, this is how it should come from the factory. An added benefit: after it is installed, you can actually work on the underside of the bars.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Me, I have the 1" risers but was not satisfied with the handling, went with the 3" riser from NMN and what a difference. If I did not have the 1" risers I would have just gone with the 3" risers as they were easier to install than the 1" risers. To me well worth the money and time. and what an enjoyment in riding. :2thumbs: :yes:

I love the 1" riser...can still lean into tight turns at decent speeds...being more upright would require slowing down a good amount...

Installing the 1" riser is no picnic as the cramped space under the stock handlebars makes work blind. BRP must believe in diversity in selecting fasteners. You need a thin profile 1/4" drive to get at the eight underside bolts. Start with an 8mm socket for 4 blind bolts, a 10mm socket for 4 more blind bolts, a T-30 Torx drive to remove the clutch, a 3/16 hex to loosen the throttle, a 6mm allen to remove the handlebar clamp and a 17mm socket to remove the riser retainer nut. You need a gear puller of some sort to pull the stock riser. Instructions say an hour. Took me 1-1/2 hours, but I was very deliberate since I did not want to lose bolts down the black hole. Still better than driving an hour to the dealer and shelling out $90 for the install.
