• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1" riser install

Any info on installing BRPs 1" riser? Easy to do or let the dealer do it when he does the recall fix? Thanks

let the dealer do it. if you have any plans for NMN risers skip the BRP 1" and just go with NMN 4" riser

Unless you are really handy with tools and the choice words that sometimes help with the frustration of blind bolt locations, let the dealer do it. :D

Plus you pretty much have to have a torque wrench. I remember a few posts about owners snapping off the head of the main bolt that holds the riser to the steering shaft by tightening it too much. Not fun.

Riser

Or look at it this way:
Do it yourself and you get to buy some neat new tools! A gear puller and shallow socket set or ratchet box wrenches!

I installed mine myself. Not that big a deal. I just uninstalled it last week when I put my 4" NMN risers on. I forgot to bring home a gear puller and used a plastic hammer and it came off easy enough. You will want a short 8mm socket and a thin head ratchet. I spent more time looking for the screws I dropped than doing it.
