• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1,000 miles on motorcycle in a day? No problem for 89-year-old Michigan man

What an inspiration! I have done one Iron Butt Ride in 1994 with 2 other bikes. I had a 1993 Kawasaki Voyager and finished in 19 hrs, 20 minutes. I fell asleep a few times during the run, but thankfully never lost it. It is a very tough challenge. Jennifer and I want to do an IB on a Spyder, just never seem to get the time to do it...and now I am working again!!!

89 and MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARVELOUS !!!!!!!!!!

That guy is my hero, God bless him !   and let's everybody    he continues to lead the charge on that :f_spider: :D :D :D    don't you :agree: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: Mike

Definately an Inspiration

I pray to one day (like 50 yrs from now) be just like Ward, & Spyder'n on down the road :2thumbs:

Great article. Too bad so many of the people that contributed to the comments section were somewhat ignorant.

I'm truly impressed and hope that if I make it to that age, I'll be able to even get on my machine. However, thanks, but no thanks in doing all those miles in 24 hours. Call me a wuzz, softy, whatever, but I personally just don't get into how many miles I can do, but instead prefer to simply take my time.

Chris
