• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

08 GS Manual won't go into Reverse - any ideas?

08 GS manual Spyder, if it's not one thing it's another. Since fixing the ISCI Brake Conversion, all of a sudden it doesn't want to go into Reverse! After a few attempts, when it finally goes into Reverse, then it won't change into 1st. If I turn the motor off, it easily goes into First. I don't think it has anything to do with it, but when I picked it up from the shop (there to fix the Brake Warning and fit a new back tyre) it poured rain for about 20 kms (12 miles) and now the Mode button on the bars doesn't work most of the time. For a while before taking it into the shop, I was having to stop the motor to change from Reverse to First, but it went into Reverse OK.

Get an assistant perhaps to operate the R lever while you look under the trike on the left side to see if the small lever attached to the bottom end of the cable is moving easily.

When you put it into 1st does the trike want to lurch forward a bit? If so, there's a clutch issue which would also interfere with R.

I doubt rain would have anything to do with it. The Mode button will probly work properly when fully dried out in there, tho I've not heard of rain being an issue with the Mode.

Thanks Freddy, clutch was my first thought, but there's no lunge, and I can come to a full stop with the clutch in with no sign of it straining against the clutch. It doesn't seem to stick at all. Good idea about the lever at the bottom, I will check. With the Mode, I will have to wait and see, but the one on the dash still works normally. Greasing the cable might be an idea, as well.
