• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kudos to Biker Doc & Central Florida Power Sports

Via Biker Doc's recommendation, I had the front tires on my '14 RT replaced at Central Florida Powersports. From northern Wisconsin, I'm visiting my sister down here and wanted to replace the "cupped" OEM front tires with Federals....Done, thanks to Doc and CFP. They even washed my Spyder and...

    Highway pegs seem uncomfortable

Lamant's pegs Though adjustable, I find them comfortable where Lamant installed them on my '14 RTS: the balls of my feet rest on the peg while my heels remain on the floorboard. Or when I wish to stretch my legs further, I place my heels on the pegs. Cool! As comfortable as the...

    Kudos to Pit Bull: Len/Venessa/Lamont …& murphybrown…

for building my spiffy ’14 RTSE6 Because my previous Spyder dealer in Tomahawk, WI, was squeezed out of the ’14 Spyder line by BRP, I had the epiphany to trade my ’12 for a ’14 at Pit Bull on my way down to visit sisterJO in Florida for April after reading a January post or three by...

Elka shocks for 2012 Spyder RT?

I’m curious if owners of 2012 Spyder RTs who replaced the original shocks with Elkas notice a difference significant enough to justify the cost. For the first 600 miles before I advanced the #3 shock setting from the dealer to #5, having read the rave reviews of Elka’s by many Spyderlovers...

    Remove seat

Stanley 3/8" ratchet Using a Stanley or similar ratchet that turns the socket by twisting/rotating the handle helps a lot; but as others suggested, first tape, fill, or cover the holes and remove the passenger back rest to make room for the ratchet and socket to remove the two bolts. I...

Help with RT comfort seat installation?

I worked from both the top and the bottom with a standard ratchet, one or two clicks at a time...UGH! Be sure to cover the two holes and long slot with masking tape or stuff rags to avoid nuts, bolts, and aluminum sleeves dropping in.

More visible color...red or magnesium metallic?

Greetings from Spyder newbie in northern Wisconsin, Saturday morning I traded my pontoon boat for a '12 Spyder RTs. Have 'til Tuesday to decide between red and magnesium metallic (silver?) as I do not care for blue. Which color has better visibility? According to one safety study, silver...
