• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seminole Powers Sports in Sanford is a good dealer. Perhaps they would have a different take on your issue.

    Sway Bar removal.

My 2013 RT Ltd would clunk like that. I traced it down to the sway bar bushings. Locate the bushing and have someone rock your spyder while you put your hand on the bushing. I couldn't see a reason for them to do that but that was my problem. There is a bolt that runs through the bushing and I...

    My GPS is worthless

Dash Mount I'm a fan of the top of dash location for the gps. On my '13 RT Ltd I rerouted the cable, disassembled the dash and mounted my gps as in post #13. The cable runs along the right side of the spyder and the connections are at the right rear corner of the fuel tank. I believe the '14...

    HELP! High pitch noise ??

See page 55 of the 2013 RT owner's manual. Easy to overlook. All Models This vehicle is equipped with an Electronic Throttle Control (ETC). Each time the ignition switch is turned OFF, the ETCmotor stays energized for 40 minutes. The ETC motor will emit a high frequency sound during this period...

How did you mount GPS on a 2010 RT?

I agree with the the upper dash mount. I wear a full face helmet and having to look almost straight down to see the GPS was not for me and I've had both. Jt's mount is very nice and easy to install. Another member used it and a 6 inch arm to bring the GPS out to the edge of the dash. That will...

    Front 12v accessory port?

Negative! Below information is from Can Am's website. Your Spyder is wired to receive this. The connection is tied up behind the frunk and above the battery. You would have to drill a hole in your frunk to mount the kit and then connect the harness. I do not know if you would have to remove...

Searching for a back case organizer

Take a look at leather motorcycle tank bags. Match drill/cut holes in the bag and use longer versions of the bolts securing the passenger seat back to secure the bag. You may need to use spacers if the bag is longer than the recessed area where the bag will sit. Good luck!

    2014 SM6 Drain Plug Replacement.

I agree. You're stuck with the BRP engine drain plug. You can, however, replace the gear box drain(clutch cover in the parts breakdown) plug. Parts breakdown has the size at M12 X 1.5. Page 125 of your owner's manual gives you the locations. Good luck!

Installing a RT Touring Upper Tail-light

HIgh Mounted Tail Light Take a look at the following link. http://www.customdynamics.com/instructions/spyder_rt_HMT_instructions.pdf It will take you to Custom Dynamics installation instructions for their HMT light. Their instructions have you connect to the right tail light harness. I...

    2014 RT Oil

...("Wow. I have over 10k on my engine and add about 1/2 qt every 5-700 miles. Been like that from the day I got the new engine put in. (New engine after 86 miles, a bit of a freak event.) Anyone else use that much oil?""... Used more than that on my '13 RTL. My '14 RT has used none in...

    Rear Trunk gas shock question

Sounds normal to me. My '14 RT trunk lid will pop when I pull the latch but then I lift it to full open where it stays until I close it.

    2014 and Oil

My '14 used none in the first 3K miles. 700 miles since and still full. Sure beats the '13 RTL I had.

    Parking Brake

With the engine off and the spyder stopped the clutch will be disengaged. Doesn't matter what gear you're in on an SE. She'll roll away on you if it's not on level ground. You would need to chock the wheels so it won't roll away if you don't set the parking brake.

    Parking Brake

Sure can. Just turn the ignition off and ignore the beeper. It'll stop after a moment or two. I do it frequently so I can roll my '14 RT SE6 forward and backward to clean the wheels. Don't worry about putting it in neutral first, it'll roll with no problem.

    Rerouting Zumo 660 cable

I did a total reroute of my cable on my '13 RTL and it was just barely long enough for my needs. Bmwlarry has a good idea especially if you want to avoid modifying your Spyder. You could buy a new cable and a dash mount made by JT's Machine Shop(see home page for link) and leave your OEM...
