• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello, my name is Joe and I'm a wuss

Check out the cooling vests at www.allclimategear.com--it was the best money I've spent on a motorcycle accessory in the last 5 years! I've been riding to work here in Tucson since June, and it is usually 100-107 when I go home. I got the one with detachable sleeves, and it feels like I'm in a...

    Goodbye 2009 RS SE5, Hello 2011 RT-S

Jgwoods--I had the exact same sequence of error messages as you did on day 2 of riding, and I can tell you everything has been fine since then. Like you, I have a dealership I can trust and they're only 4 miles away. I didn't panic when it happened, but after they re-calibrated the computers I...

    Just for fun

I'm really close to Shannon/Overton--I can't believe I haven't seen you! I did a 40 mile ride this morning after watching the Tour de France stage 20 live this am. (I'm obsessed with that kind of cycling, too!) I've been riding to work when I can and then usually on weekends.

    Fault Codes

The same fault codes happened to me 4 days after purchasing my RT-S last month. I was making a left turn from a road with 2 left turn lanes, and the car next to me didn't stay in his lane and took over my lane, which made me swerve and brake quite hard. I pulled over ASAP and called for a...

    12,000 mile service

My dealer offered me this as well, and I was happy to take it. I have a deal like this on my car (Honda) that has saved me MUCHO DINERO so far; I just hit the 70,000 mile mark on that vehicle. My :spyder2: just had her 600 mile service a few days ago and everything is running beautifully. :2thumbs:

Looking for bikers who like to ride in groups

Okay, here's the scoop on the cooling vest--it was the BEST $70.00 bucks I've spent in the last 5 years related to motorcycling! When I leave work in mid-town Tucson, it has been between 98-108 degrees. I have about 8 miles of stop and go before I can cruise at higher speeds, and with that vest...

    I'm Officially Joining The Crowd!!

    Just for fun

I live on the NW side of town, too and I've been riding almost daily since I got mine, but I've not seen any other spyders out there! :dontknow:

    safety course reimbursement

I'm not aware of Can-Am offering to reimburse for the MSF course, but I know I've gotten a 10% discount off my cycle insurance for having taken the course. I took the Beginner course in 1992 and the Advanced one in 1994 and the skills I learned have saved my neck more than a few times!

Who is right about oil flow in engine?

:agree:I was told the same thing as you and that is the advice I've followed for the last 21 years.

    Motorcycle safety tips.

I have been riding motorcycles for 21 years, and I've been an RN for 23 years. That means I know all too well what people look like after a cycle crash, and there is a BIG difference between people wearing protective gear (helmet, gloves, pants, boots, jacket) vs people wearing shorts and...

    Uh-Oh...

Okay, I started reading this thread because I wanted to know how you handled the bad throttle problem, but now I'll have to keep reading for the humor! JimAlpha and Bob--you're cracking me up! :roflblack:

I am a new guy with no ryde :-(

Welcome to you and anyone else looking to become a Spyder owner. I began saving in 2008, and I just got mine last Saturday, so I know how it feels to want one and not have the funds for it. My long wait felt worth it as I rode every day this week and this site is TOTALLY AWESOME for learning all...

    Just for fun

I am in Tucson and just got my 2011 RT-S last Saturday. I would definitely be up for some group rides! I was in a (motorcycle) riding group back east when I had my 1400cc Intruder, but I haven't ridden in a group since living in AZ.
