• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder RT driver leg room vs Goldwing

Perhaps I am missing something, but their web site shows: PART#SPY-FK-SPI $820.00 Brake lever shown sold seperately. Choose from levers below Plus the brake lever, plus you have to chop off some original metal, way beyond my comfort level dollar-wise, tinkering-wise. They do look well...

Spyder RT driver leg room vs Goldwing

I appreciate all of the replies. The ISCI floorboards look great, but at the better part of $1000, yikes!!!! A bit much to spend after spending $23K plus for the bike!!! Jack

Spyder RT driver leg room vs Goldwing

Well, visited the local can-am / honda dealer hoping they had a Spyder RT, but no luck. One of the four MCs on my list is the Goldwing. I love everything about it except one thing: My legs just are not comfortable bending back with the butt forward. For such a large MC, why does the cockpit...

    Hydroplaning - High Siding

I am a bit concerned about hydroplaning on the Spyder and wondered if anyone has experienced or heard of anyone highsiding. It seems that this could happen if you quickly got traction while sideways in a hydroplane condition. It has happened to me on two wheels, off the road, wondered if that...

    Still Lurking---RPM At Highway Speeds?

Thanks again for the replies!!! I certainly understand the apples and oranges thing... But I know if I buy a 2011, they will release a torquier, 6 speed in 2012. Just my luck! Thanks again, jack

Pushing-Parking the RT into a tight space

Another question..... I currently own a Ural. I park it in the garage in front of one of our cars. It is easy to push into place with one hand on its front grab handle and the other hand on the left handlebar grip. Super easy to push into place. What about the Spyder RT? Is it possible to...

    Still Lurking---RPM At Highway Speeds?

Thanks so much for your replies!!! That concurs with the "negative bashing" posts I read elsewhere... My underpowered Nomad with two up runs about 3000 RPM at 70-75. Seems like running at 6000 RPM would take its toll on the engine on a long haul. I have never had that experience, but it...

    Still Lurking---RPM At Highway Speeds?

What is the RPM of the RTs at highway speeds (70-80mph)? Thanks Jack

    Passenger Comfort ???

Thanks again for all of the replies. Our local dealer still has not returned my calls-emails. Even after Can-Am pinged me as to whether a dealer had called back (and I replied no), I have not heard a thing. Figured they would be hot to sell these bad boys. JackL

    Passenger Comfort ???

My wife tends to fall asleep, especially at night after a long day in the saddle. I know it when her head slouches forward and bangs me in the head. But on the nomad with the HD trunk and backrest, she is pretty secure, it would be tough for her to fall off. And on the Ural, well, where is she...

    Passenger Comfort ???

Just wondering about the passenger comfort. I was late to notice that the back rest does not wrap around like our HD trunk/backrest combo.... Does the passenger basically hang on to the hand rails for dear life? I am surprised that a moto this large was designed with a rear trunk/backrest that...

    Possible New Owner--But....

I am seriously considering the low end RT model but after reading through the great and very informative threads on this forum I am very concerned about ... 1. Reliability 2. Routine Maintenance As an outsider, it seems that this bike is beset with problems. And the routine maintenance...
