• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it possible that BRP Corporate records on the Sprocket Recall have not been updated?

As others have said, that’s a steep price given the year and mileage. Regarding the recalls, I’d be surprised if the VIN wasn’t recorded when the recalls were performed, especially if performed by an authorized dealer/service facility. Trust your gut. This doesn’t sound like a once in a lifetime...

Trading in my Ryker, it's time for an F3-T - what issues should I be looking for/concerned about?

Congrats on the purchase, as I just purchased the same year and model about a month ago. Check the VIN for open recalls on Can Am’s website, make sure that the rear air suspension holds air and functions properly as its manually adjusted not auto. Everything else is spot checks that it sounds...

Should I get a 2014 now, or wait and get a newer model? Any 'gotta have' features?

How can you tell if DESS has been disabled on a preowned Spyder? Would you need BUDS?

Should I get a 2014 now, or wait and get a newer model? Any 'gotta have' features?

I’m new to the 3 wheel world and was in your shoes for the past few months. I just bought last week because I found what I wanted at a good price. My approach was to not spend top dollar on a newer model without knowing that I’ll love the Spyder first. So I went conservative, and I won’t take a...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed Spyderpops brake, run, turn light kit on my F3T. Purchased from Baja Ron. First of multiple planned light upgrades. Also moved floorboards and added Lamonster brake extension to position 5.

Any concerns with the idea of buying a 2017 F3 now?

Appreciate the feedback. I’m definitely leaning towards making the buy. Prior to being traded in, it was ridden fairly regularly, so I’m hoping for no surprises. It does have some badging that is definitely personalized and will have to be replaced, but nothing too crazy. Thanks again.

Any concerns with the idea of buying a 2017 F3 now?

Assuming all maintenance records are good, mileage just shy of 30K miles, would you have reservations buying a 2017 F3 at this point? I’ve read comments about the potential 10yr window on parts, and that’s my biggest hang up. Am I thinking correctly, or over thinking it?

Interesting conversation at the gas pump - asked why I chose to ride a Spyder rather than 'a real motorcycle'?!

This is exactly why I’m buying a Spyder. My wife just couldn’t relax and enjoy being on the back of my motorcycle. She hated the lean, and as Vito said, windy conditions and such just weren’t fun for her.

Anyone ever done a remote Purchase & Transport? Any insights?

You’re braver than me Canamjhb! I’ve literally taken one ride on a Spyder to date, and I’m not sure that I’d take on 1,200 miles! Fingers crossed for 300 miles or less. On the other hand, you really got acquainted with the bike over all of those miles.

Anyone ever done a remote Purchase & Transport? Any insights?

I live 15min away from imotorsports in Elmhurst. Also just made contact with their store in FL. No inventory that I’m interested in right now, but I like that they ship for free. Definitely what I consider option #1. Thanks for the reply Have my sights set on something 2017+. Been combing...

Anyone ever done a remote Purchase & Transport? Any insights?

Newbie here looking to make a Spyder purchase between now and Spring. I’m finding some attractive deals that are several states away, and would require me to likely use a transporter to get it home. I’d obviously negotiate a deal remotely, and get all the little details out of the way such as...
