• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    ultra touring windscreens

I put the 25" touring screen on our 2010 RSS and it screwed right on as well. It has been a great addition. I love how when it's raining you can move your helmet to a certain level and angle and the all the water gets blasted right off your visor!

    Another Tire Question

I just had the rear tire done and went with the OEM Kenda. But these Kumho tires that you just put on are the ones I am lookin at to replace the fronts. I was not impressed with the OEM fronts and do not want to put another set on, but I was wondering about possible clearance issues. Thanks for...

    Rumors of my Death Yada-Yada-Yada!

Yessir, that is the plan as of now. And I am glad!

    Rumors of my Death Yada-Yada-Yada!

Thanks, brother... I knew I could count on you! Of the two possibilities, number one is always a possibility. However, number 2 is more likely! So I think I will leave well enough alone and just enjoy the ride for now. Besides, I have my own bikes to play with, so I'll just focus on those!

    Rumors of my Death Yada-Yada-Yada!

Hey Bob! It's actually nice to be back on the board. Looks as good as ever! SO, since the cover has been off and I have been riding it again, I caught myself last night already starting to think about mods! You know how it goes... "Well, you know, I should think about a shock upgrade. I did...

    Rumors of my Death Yada-Yada-Yada!

I have to admit I have been curious about the F3. I did get to sit on one and it felt pretty nice. The ergos were more comfortable than the RSS and I had the feeling of being more "in" the bike than "on" it. I think I would like to ride one some day to see what it's really like.

    Rumors of my Death Yada-Yada-Yada!

Whatup, Y'all! It seems like it's been ages since I have logged on here. Some of you don't know who I am, some might remember - I was a somewhat early adopter to the Spyder and at one point we were a 2-Spyder householde; me on my infamous Phantom14 and my Wife on her Pearl '10 RSS. But things...

Whos NOT upgrading to 2014 ?

No, not upgrading. Don't see any reason to at this point.

    2015 RS, RSS, ST Spyder

I have to agree with this. What I don't agree with is that what we got in the production machine was BRP's best effort. I think there were multiple things at play in this, the biggest most likely being the legal guys worrying about liability issues and wanting to keep the machine manageable for...

    2015 RS, RSS, ST Spyder

Originally I voted yes I would like to see the 1330 in the RS. But this was really a knee-jerk reaction. After thinking about it for a wile I think it would be far better to just unleash what the V990 is actually capable of power-wise and keep the weight down. or even a revamped 1125 helicon...

    tires

I have to admit I'm not familiar with Federals, but I shall investigate. I actually had this wild thought of getting adapters made so I could run a 15 X 7 wheel that would allow me to run 225/50/15's all 'round. That way I could run DOT racing tires! But adapters can be dodgy, so I have held...

Man, that looks good. That is a sweet pattern. Great job! Can't wait to see the parts back on the machine.

    Spyders Draw the Most Interest!

:roflblack: I hear you there! No, I have to say that The phantom gets a lot of attention on the road. Kids love it, especially. I get "ewww, look, Bat Mobile" a lot! Lots of questions at gas stations, too. You tend to get ignored by hard-core riders, though. I don't care. I have no time for...

    What gas do you use?

I Know the seals and gaskets are probably OK. What worries me is the higher heat produced, pre-ignition, gummed up fuel systems, higher Nitrogen levels that will be produced, thus greater smog levels, the water accumulation that ethanol puts in the fuel system, and the highly corrosive nature of...

    What gas do you use?

Chevron Premium here. I know it's expensive but the engines just run better on it. Gas is getting so bad out here I am afraid to put anything else in it. That ethanol crap is an engine killer...

    can not ride bike

Best wishes. I'm sure everything will go well and I hope you are back in the saddle soon. I know what it's like to be out of action for an extended time. So stay positive and use getting back in the saddle as motivation! Best of luck.

So...who let that smelly mutt in?

Yup, Welcome, Hound guy! I consider myself more of an early adopter of this platform. I have 2 of them, both RS models. One is a SM5 (5-speed manual) and a 2010 RSS SE5 Electronic shift. The RSS is the Wife's. She doesn't ride hers near as much as I used to run my Phantom GS. These machines have...

    tires

Hmmm... Evil plotting ensues! :D And I also see another vote for Kumho. If I can get 175 Kumho's for the front that would fit the 15" wheels and have Kumho's all around, that would be the ticket I think.
