• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    5,000+ miles. What’s Next

It’s a 900. I get 150 miles to the fuel light, always around 30 mpg running it pretty hard D

870 miles in one very long day. GA to PA

More off-road (this week in the snow)

Any decent set of aftermarket grips will work. I splurged on a set of really good ones which have the heat setting controls built right into the left grip. Contrary to what BRP claims, there is plenty of available current, especially after I switched to LED headlight bulbs

More off-road (this week in the snow)

No mud this week. Lots of snow. Ran great, drifted for 78 miles, lol! Should have wore my sled helmet as my helmet iced over and I struggled to see during freezing rain. Heated grips are a savior

    Off road with a Ryker

The mud was so deep at times the front end was pushing it like a dozer! I never got stuck, but I darn sure didn’t ride slow, lol. Fast and loose

    Power steering question

If your power steering begins to fail it will throw a code, likely DPS failure. Note: without a code it may “derate” if it begins to overheat. This could occur after a hard run thru twisties. Once it cools, all is well

    Off road with a Ryker

I think I should have attached some photos from last weekend on my Ryker. I rode for 50 miles on very, very muddy fire roads. It was 6 inches thick at times. Any cars I saw were stuck, so it was me and a bunch of Jeeps! I goes well in the rough stuff!

I just logged onto their site and it’s right there for $699 preorder. Try either using a laptop or I pad. Look at “all items for Ryker”. Take the time to read the installation instructions. It has some good pictures

Did you/anyone see the sling mods saddle bag setup and stereo system?

Do I need to take this puppy up to 80/90 mph occasionally?

The way the clutch is designed on a Ryker, you really cannot lug it, so ride it and forget about it, lol. As for the electrical issue, they will change out the harness and the problem will disappear.

    5,000+ miles. What’s Next

So, I haven’t posted in awhile, but I had a really good year with the Ryker. Not a problem to be had from her, I put 5,000 on her, 3,000 on my Triumph, and 1,800 on my sv650. What’s on it? Windscreen, heated grips, lighted handguards, led headlights, rear seat, backrest, rear saddlebag...

What would you change on the Ryker?

    Cruise control. that's it

    Considering a Ryker, read this..

So, I DID sort of work for BRP ( I owned a dealership until about a month ago) and when it came time to pick a "keeper" ( until recently I simply had a new demonstrator to ride each year) I chose a Ryker Rally. Since then, I have put about 2,700 miles on her and I am convinced I kept the right...

    Ryker and a Trailer

I don't believe the Ryker is the right choice for pulling a trailer for a number of reasons, including the clutch, the single sided swing arm, and the relative light weight of the machine. Any other Spyder would be a better choice

    Givi top box installation

Yes, the seat pops off with backrest attached after engaging a lock and the bag locks onto the rack using the linq system, which is a simple lever
