• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Attn: Spyder & Ryker owners, my $5 front suspension hack. fantastic on uneven roads!

Ron, thanks for the feedback [without the arrogance and sarcasm of others]. You are right and I apologize for not approaching this in a way that all spyder level riders could take away something positive from my thread. TMI for most readers. My intention is to provide an addition possible...

Attn: Spyder & Ryker owners, my $5 front suspension hack. fantastic on uneven roads!

Attn: Spyder & Ryker owners, my $5 front suspension hack. fantastic on uneven roads! First a little history on my ride. I bought a 2015 Spyder RS SM5 this spring. It had 9500 miles on it. It had original Kenda tires and Fox shocks in front. As you may have guessed already, the steering tracking...

Brake light flasher and additional LED light add-on...cheap and easy!

I like to add lighting accessories to be seen on the road. The best accessory IMO is some type of brake flasher module. I found one on Amazon with the flash characteristics that I like...four flasher with adjustable flash rate (Vehicle Brake Light Flasher Module. Safety Flash Light Alert...

Exhaust Perfection?! another $20 exhaust system. No aftermarket muffler needed

Rotated port out 45 degrees. Hopefully I got the pic rotated correctly this time. This arrangement isn't any louder than a voodoo or 2bros exhaust and, if I'm going any distance, I'll have in earbuds or plugs to drown out wind noise anyway... since I have a sport (low) wind screen on my rs...

Exhaust Perfection?! another $20 exhaust system. No aftermarket muffler needed

Thanks for the input so far. The pipe does clean the workshop floor as it stands now. What is nice with this arrangement, though, is that the swivel flange allows you to rotate the discharge gas 360 degrees. If I point it to the rear, the 90 degree bend will throw gas back onto the rear wheel. I...

Exhaust Perfection?! another $20 exhaust system. No aftermarket muffler needed

So, if you looked at my last post "WOW!...", you saw my first attempt at an exhaust modification for my 2015 Spyder RS SM5. I removed the stock muffler and installed 2 off-the-shelf exhaust parts. Although the sound is awsome, I was a little worried about some loss of power at more aggressive...

WOW! Replaced my stock exhaust muffler with 2 off-the-shelf parts for under $20

My 2015 RS SM5 has a flanged discharge on the Cat converter. I don't know how many model Spyders are like this. I bought a Walker flanged adapter part number 41726 (off Amazon) and press fit a cheap DB killer (61mm dia) into it. These are all over Ebay and Amazon for about $10. I added some more...

Has anyone done their own Rear Tire change? How difficult?

tire swap technique with older 1-piece wheel hub style (ref 2015 RS) I have a 2015 RS with one piece wheel hub. The local tire shop swapped out my old tire for my new Kuhmo Ecsta just fine, but could not balance the wheel assembly due to the hub depth. So, I was able to do a simple balance in...

    998cc 2008 GS SM5 - Engine, oil pump, & clutch Troubles - Need Advice?

Hi Tom, I was just reviewing your thread. I hope your Spyder is still running. Just to add my thought about why the clutch failed - My guess would be that it had the wrong oil in it and then sat for long time. It's common knowledge that oils with additives can destroy clutch plates. Just keep...

998cc Bike shakes and shudders when I put it in gear - any ideas why?

The idle speed seems high…like the engine is trying to overcompensate for a computer error. Since you changed plugs (and I’m assuming that you checked the air filter), my next guess would be O2 sensor going bad. After that, maybe plug wires.

Hey Ya'll We Got A New Member! Lets welcome TeeJay to SL

greetings all, I'm located SW of Fort Worth, TX. Lots of great riding here. Just bought my first Spyder 2 weeks ago. 2015 RS SM5 with 8,500 miles. Original owner cannot ride anymore. Like EIWarrior and probably lots of others, I became disabled from sudden balance loss and sold all my bikes 4...

FAQ's about BajaRon Sway Bar Kits

Thanks for the FAQ's Ron! I just bought a 2015 Spyder RS SM5 two weeks ago with original Kenda tires on it (8,500 miles on the odometer). My first Spyder. The tires still had tread, but handling was scary. I had a death grip the whole way home... 65 miles. I had a feeling that the tires were the...
