• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Changed the oil & both filters, now it's got Shifting Issues! Ideas?

No, I don't lift it at all for the oil change... Thanks for the thought. Guess I'll just wait for the recall on the main shaft to be done. I imagine they'll be changing the oil and filters as part of it. See how it behaves then...

Changed the oil & both filters, now it's got Shifting Issues! Ideas?

Purchased the oil and filter (this filter fits either way, doesn't it?) from a dealership; HCM filter from Lamonster (pretty sure it will only go on one way); bikes got 25,000 miles on it; less than 100 miles since oil change; I've done the engine oil and filter before no problem, and everything...

Changed the oil & both filters, now it's got Shifting Issues! Ideas?

So... I changed my oil and both filters, and now it's not downshifting after it warms up. Maybe it's true that you need BUDs when changing the HCM filter?

Where to get engine oil analyzed...

So I guess it's send it out to be done. Was hoping someone local, like a dealership might do it. Bummer, the weather's just turning nice and I'm kinda afraid to run it till I figure out "the smell".

Strong gasoline smell after riding - is this common? Any fix?

2018 F3 LTD 25,000 miles I have been noticing the smell of gas when I park after a ride. Seems to be getting stronger with time. Engine seems to be running fine, smooth idle, no "fault codes", I would say the odor is stronger on the left side (shifter side), oil smells of gas and doesn't seem to...

Oil Change Nightmare - tool broke off in the plug; is there a hardened wrench?

Thanks for all the info. First, I have an old Snap On rachet that actually has On / Off stamped on it. Next I went back out to give it another look and some more thought. Tapped the plug a couple times with a hammer and the broken piece fell out. It's a Christmas Miracle!!!! New plugs are on...

Oil Change Nightmare - tool broke off in the plug; is there a hardened wrench?

So... I gathered all my tools and materials for an oil change. Stuck the 6mm wrench in the drain plug, double checked the direction the rachet would be turning (3/8 drive- nothing extreme), and the tool broke off inside the drain plug. Guess it's back to the dealership to get out of this one. Is...

Is the 7Jurock windshield any good?

I don't remember the height, but I replaced a stock Tall Boy which sent the wind directly to my forehead. All the other aftermarket pieces require their mounting brackets also, so I tried this one. I'm 5' 8" and look over the top. The width and the flip work great for me. Can't remember the...
