• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is the Radiator vulnerable to damage?

YouTuber Spyder Chris had a radiator punctured by a rock recently. It can and does happen. Put some grills on there and hope they catch it.

Wrapping/striping a frunk with matte or denim paint - Results?

I am happy with my '22 S2S. Went with Wrap My Spyder Tri-Wing Carbon Fiber. Put these on in August of '22, been through a lot of weather and there is no lifting. I just followed the instructions as written, very happy with the results. -

Re-installed the primary muffler (cat) - the noise @ I/state speeds was not for me!

Not on our Spyder, but on our last Victory, I had Cobra Tri-Ovals. I loved the sound on takeoff and around town - nice deep rumble. But on the interstates, man would it drone. So I can understand exactly what you mean. Just got to be too much. Our S2S exhaust is stock, and most likely going to...

What was your best Upgrade/Add-on to your Spyder???

Thanks to AbNormy for ressurecting this thread! So far my best upgrade has been the replacement tires (Vredsteins front and Altimax rear). Made all the difference in the world. I'm also happy with the Lamonster riser, which made my shoulders much happier, and my lighting upgrades from Spyderpops...

Do you think a Spyder is for me? Need some advice from the Spyder Pros

I don't think you are missing anything. I have been riding for 40+ years, the last 2+ on my RT S2S. I've never regretted purchasing the Spyder. We typically do one or several 500+ mile days to get to anywhere interesting. While do-able on the touring bikes we have had before, there is no...

What Communication devices do you use between rider/pillion & other riders in your group?

Note - we have only used any of these for a driver to passenger intercom system. We have had Sena and Cardo. Of those two we preferred the Cardo with the JBL upgrade. Currently we are using Lexin GTX, purchased after the Cardo fritzed out. For the price, the Lexin is a decent intercom system I...

Anyone ever thought of Fender Mounted mirrors??

I struggled a bit with the mirrors until I added the Lamonster handlebar riser. That opened them up a bit. They still seem a bit low, but I get full view out them since that install.

What iPhone phone app do you use to plan & track your trips?

We are iPhone users. I use good old Rand McNally for the trip overview. When it gets down to routing, I usually use Google Maps and pick waypoints to keep me on my intended route (I do this on our laptop ahead of time - easier to see and visualize the route). I write down the waypoints, and when...

The Bells! The Bells! (Nice Touch!)

Esmerelda and the Hunchback of Notre Dame They humped each other like they had no shame They paused as they posed for a Polaroid photo She whispered in his ear "Exactly-odo, Quasimodo!" John Prine "The Sins of Memphisto" I can never pass up a chance to throw some Prine lyrics out there. I hope...

2025 Planning 11th Memorial Trip to Central Texas (in memory of my wife)

We haven't ridden in Texas (yet), but depending on your route to get there, try to get through NW and West Arkansas on your way there. Really nice riding there. At least you have snow for Christmas, all we have here is cold and grey, with the Spyder parked under cover and on tender. I hope...

2025 Trip Planning - Maine Mostly

So far all good stuff - I appreciate it more than my words here describe. Thank you to each of you for replying. I am currently just putting these all on a list, then when planning starts in earnest, I'll map them out and see what we can fit in. And PS - @Arion - no such thing as too much info...

Installed a new General Altimax R45 today - My tips!

I put the General Altimax on the rear at the beginning of the 2024 season (well, my dealer did). Toured Arkansas and Missouri with it. Huge difference from the Kenda. I think you will like it.

2025 Trip Planning - Maine Mostly

So, shortly after Christmas we start planning our 2025 trip/tour. This summer, we are going to cross off the NE states that we haven't ridden through. Most of our time will be in Maine, with quick stops in Rhode Island and New Hampshire just to cross those off the map. Plan is to run a bit (or...
