• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any ideas on this - Fault Code P0123

It's been about 2 hours now so I went out and it started fine and no check engine light on. Didn't check for codes but will later.

Any ideas on this - Fault Code P0123

On the way home from an Honor Flight send off, about 7:30 am and about 36°F, winding out and cruising about 90, when the check engine light comes on. Didn't note any changes so I just slowed down for the last 2 miles home. While waiting for the garage door to open in neutral, I 'blipped' the...

Foot Brake vs Handlebar Brake - would it be better for me?

My understanding of the kit is it attaches to the mechanical parts that activate your brakes. It doesn't change anything in the brake lines. They have a pretty good instruction link on their website.

    What GPS are you using?

I use the CanAm Zumo 660 but the latest map upgrade changed the screen font for speed, etc to some kind of outlined bold that is hard to read . Can't find anyway to change it.

Winter vs summer tires on front of RT

Thanks all. My current boss spent 20+ years in the tire business and basically told me the same thing other than the "VREDESTEIN" info. Thanks again.

Winter vs summer tires on front of RT

I see interesting tread designs while looking for front tires on 16 RT and I'm curious as to tire life with a winter tire run all summer.

More wiring questions - looking for switched power for relay?

Thanks. My manual Pg 155 explained the two fuse positions for the outlet. That's why I was wondering where the trunk outlet wire might be and hoping to find it when replacing the trunk lid support.

More wiring questions - looking for switched power for relay?

16 RT. I've been searching the forum on switched auxiliary wiring. I am using a relay to power extra LED lights and looking for a switched power source for the 'low amp side' of the wiring. I see some have used an add-a-circuit to the fuse box but I haven't figured out how one gets the wire...

Tri-Axis handlebar install? How hard is it?

2016 RT - I found a used set of Tri-Axis Bars on this forum. The you tube video helped a lot. I had a few parts missing but it was easy to source bolts, etc locally. I had to deal with some messed up threads on a couple of threaded pieces and cut & reshape the trim pieces under the bars but...

Any ideas on Mounting extra auxiliary LED headlights?

here is a link to the light. I've been thinking about the band clamp I'm looking for more forward light to fill in the space between low beams and high beams, if that makes any sense. https://www.grote.com/white-light/work-lighting/britezone-led-work-lights/BZ221-5/

Any ideas on Mounting extra auxiliary LED headlights?

I have the square BZ221-5 spotlight pattern. I have replaced the bike's headlights with LED's. I did not replace the fog lights with LEDs. Looking for more light when I ride to work early in the AM looking for the deer, etc. along the road.

Any ideas on Mounting extra auxiliary LED headlights?

I have a pair of GROTE LED spot lights I would like to mount on the front of my '16 RTL. There is too much plastic and minimum metal places to mount them. They are square and measure about 3.5" x 3.5" x 3.5" with a single bolt mount. I've seen smaller LEDs mounted on the A-arms but not sure how...

Questioning wearing Ear Plugs while riding

After 25 years as firearms instructor, farming, heavy equipment mechanic, my ears are pretty bad. A lot of folks don't understand that losing your hearing can also make your ears more sensitive to some sounds , like wind noise. I wear plugs under my helmet. Etymotic Research ER20XS...

Would removing the rear mud flap reduce Dust on Pillion Passenger?

I drive a mile of gravel each time I leave and come home. I found that lowering the windshield all the way helps some but not a cure for dust.
