• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 SE6 not downshifting automatically & little engine braking - any thoughts?

I have a 2018 F3 Limited SE6 with approx. 23K miles. All of a sudden it will not downshift automatically. I actually came to a full stop today and the bike was still in 4th gear! I have also noticed that there is little if any engine braking happening when I manually downshift. Also, it seems to...

    Look what I got today

Tire Rack I tried to order Vredestein tires for my 2018 F3 Limited a week ago and they kept cancelling the order because they can't sell car tires to put on a motorcycle. :gaah: Just wondering how you get around the car tire on motorcycle problem. I ended up getting Kumhos from a friend who...

1330cc My 2014 RT is Over heating - any ideas on how to correct?

OK.. here we go again.. Had the shop replace the water pump, thermostat and temp sensor. They also purged the cooling system. Picked up the bike and within 1/4mile the bike overheated. Turned around and went back to the shop. Left the bike running and still showing HOT. All bars and high temp...

1330cc My 2014 RT is Over heating - any ideas on how to correct?

It doesn't get hot when just idling.. my mechanic had it running for 40 minutes and no temp spikes at all. I will check out the rad fins but they look clean from the outside.

1330cc My 2014 RT is Over heating - any ideas on how to correct?

Well.. my over heating issue is getting worse..I had the cooling system flushed and my mechanic recommended Engine Ice coolant. I went ahead and had him replace the original coolant with the Engine Ice. Yesterday I went for a 100 mi ride with friends and all was well until we stopped for a few...

    Vredstein Tires

That is correct..no sway bar. Everything I read about them seems to indicate they are helpful when towing a trailer or riding 2 up.. I ride solo and don't tow so never thought I would benefit from that addition. Am I wrong?? I see a good bit about belt tensioners as well but never thought I...

1330cc My 2014 RT is Over heating - any ideas on how to correct?

Everything checked out at the 1st dealership..only some coolant needed. After it happened again I went to the dealer in Rapid City. They worked on it for 2 hours.. ran it for 20 minutes at 2000 RPMs and the fan kicked in at 235 degrees as it should and the temp never got over the 1/2 way mark...

    Vredstein Tires

I had to take my Spyder to an independent bike shop to have them mount the car tires for me as my Spyder dealership closed unexpectedly. I think my dealership would have done it for me but maybe not. I would just look for a bike repair shop that works on trikes. They should be OK with it. I took...

    Vredstein Tires

I am running 15psi in the front and 16 psi in the rear. What was so funny was the guy in the shop did not believe me that the pressure should be that low. I am a girl you know :dg2:. so he would only take them down to 25.. I felt like I was riding a bouncy ball on ice on the way out of the shop...

    Vredstein Tires

Just got back from 700+ mile trip to Blue Ridge Mountains on my new Quatrac-5 tires. Can I say I felt like I was on a different bike? YES! what a huge difference in handling and the ride in general. The tires were smooth and steady on the highway at 80 mph and then in the mountain twisties.. OH...

1330 and Gas Mileage Review - What's yours? Anyone else tracking theirs?

Unfortunately they don't have the 215/65-15 in stock either .. next time I will order the tires well before I need them!! I am in a bind mostly because my Spyder dealer closed yesterday. I called during the week to make an appointment for tires and there was a message saying they were closing...
