• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Migrating From 2 Wheels To 3 Wheels

Just came from a week up there, foot to the floor stoplight to stoplight, people so far up your butt they can taste your breakfast, posted speed limits as recommended minimums... don't know how you guys do it. I doff my cap, sir!

    Illinois 3-wheel training.

Thank you. I can't seem to edit the title!

    Illinois 3-wheel training.

Came home yesterday from the 3-wheel basic rider course (3WBRC) up in Palatine; 20 hours over 4 days. First day is classroom, remainder is in the parking lot except for 1 hour at the end for the 25 question written exam. Harper College has 5 Rykers, 1 F3, and 1RT available; I chose a Ryker...

Juuuust missed hitting a Deer! Great brakes on these things!

I don't believe that we have any real idea as to how their hearing works. I find it incredulous that an animal that responds instantaneously to a twig snap at 100 yards doesn't seem to notice a semi traveling at 105 feet per second. As far as those whistles, if they really had any effect it...

    Finally pulled The Trigger.

Thank you. The one thing I meant to inquire about was the rock guard for the belt...completely forgot when I saw the bike. Star struck, I guess.

Juuuust missed hitting a Deer! Great brakes on these things!

Fourth jaunt, up to a raging 103 miles...going around the lake because it's a good road with little traffic. At 57mph downhill I saw the first deer and rolled off the throttle; the second one came up out of the ditch, had time to say #2 but no time to do it. Excellent brakes on these things...

    Finally pulled The Trigger.

Ah, the good old Honda 90, big brother to the Nifty Shifty 50. Buddy of mine had one, I had a Bridgestone 90. Didn't fall off that one, it hardly ever ran. Probably saved me young and foolish life.

    Finally pulled The Trigger.

They used to have a course at SIUC, was cancelled due to 'lack of interest'. We'll be going up to Palatine where they have loaners, for the princely sum of 20 bucks. Looking forward to a ride (can't bring myself to say ryde as of yet), also looking for an SI chapter...

    Finally pulled The Trigger.

Definitely plan on getting maintenance there, the only negative feedback I've seen was in regards to the $200 deposit...and that was one person who got a bunch of her friends involved. I've heard good things about their service department. We're pretty close, down in Benton. Would you be taking...

    Finally pulled The Trigger.

Absolutely. Took a third jaunt, by the time we were heading back I felt much more comfortable, trying to keep the white outta me knuckles. Helps a lot with the 'tall and tippy' feeling, and the wanderlust. Thanks for the tip!

    Finally pulled The Trigger.

Yup, outstanding price...and close by. Saw your marker pin on the wall map and asked about it: "yeah, we sold one to a fellow up there." Mine was supposed to go to a couple from New Hampshire and had been taken off the market, but for some reason the deal had fallen through. Really hope that...

    Finally pulled The Trigger.

Aye, there's the rub...no Class M in me wallet, and haven't ridden a two-wheeler in years. No sense of balance. That would be why I chose submarines, can't fall off.

Ha, shows what I know! I'll put the spare in the trunk, let it rattle around, use the noise to leverage the spouse for cash, sneak some neat stuff in...

    Finally pulled The Trigger.

Picked out a 2018 RT Limited dark leftover at Holzhauers in Nashville Illinois; real pretty dark grey. The dealership delivered with 1.6 miles on the clock. Got up a bit of nerve today and we took her for a spin (maybe two). 63 miles, may do another if the weather holds. Problem in the Great...
