• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RS rear fender brackets

You're lucky. Mine completely 'snapped' on one side and had only one screw left holding it on the other side after only 9,500 miles.

    Yellow Spyder Fire

Haven't the previous fires occurred after the bike had been ridden - while the bike sitting still? Is this the first Spyder to catch fire while being ridden? It would be interesting to look at all the VIN #'s / manufacture dates. Sorry to hear about your loss, Mr. K.

    almost done

I don't know what kind of clearance you have under your seat- but, an alternative to the box would be to mount transducers under the seat. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=299-028

    tail / brake light

Confirm bad bulb. (Probably just burnt running filament.) Swap with 'working' side. If bad, bring 'in-hand' to local auto parts store. Don't forget to check manual for dual wattage rating.

How do you deal with tailgators?

Exactly. Plus, if stopped, you could always say parts were falling off your bike! But, wait - that would only be believable if the Spyder were Yellow!! (That's for you - QBRRRR!!) :joke::roflblack::joke::roflblack:

    Receiving GPS Instructions

Thanks for the response. I think I'm sold on the idea that I don't need to hear more voices in my head and watching for the next turn will be enough. However, the idea of planning a trip exclusively on the GPS sounds like a pain. So, planning on a PC (yes, I'm a PC) and transferring that...

I have a really great idea for a Spyder Commercial

That would be great!!:agree: Maybe they could incorporate some of the Spyder footage from the Jay Leno's Garage program! (That was the best 7 minute plug they could have gotten.)
