• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT Turn Signal Switch Replacement

I am on my second 2010 RT-S and have the same problem with the switch not working on left turns. I beleive this could result in someone being rear ended if they are unaware of the problem. Self cancelling is the answer once they do come on. BRP have been good at fixing other problems and I...

    Wrecked RT part two

I have finally been payed out for the wrecked RT. The frame was bent and the cost of repairs outweighed repair. I have picked up a showroom 2010 RT-S PE N0103 identical to my last one. The deal came with a brand new Can-am trailer for free. The price has dropped by $6000 so I am...

    RT-S Wrecked

Had an accident yesterday on my RT. :gaah: Got rear ended by a Ute (pickup) in the rain on my way to a club event in Sydney. Some idiot in front stopped suddenly and the Spyder brakes worked a charm. The car behind didn't stop in time and got me. Lucky I was on the RT. it saved my life.:clap...

    New Screen

Just had the last of my warranty issues resolved. A new seat and a new screen. I must say that the new seat is wonderful. The stitching is all in place and even looks like a better seat. The new screen is the 2011 version. What a difference that makes. I was going to cut the new one down by...

Why are these Multifunction Gauge Symbols flashing?

This happened to me when I first got my RT. After a lot of checking it appears my wiring loom was to tight. The connection at the DPS was to tight causing the plug to flex, consequenty giving a bad comunication message to the computer. After they stretched it a bit and all the connectors had...

    Fuel Leak

I know it has been mentioned before, but be aware that the hose clamps on the fuel filter are useless. I just had my 20k service and when I got home I was keaking fuel from both sides of the new filter.:gaah: I have replaced them with screw type hose clamps and all is good. I am of on a run...

A Question about Dyno and PC5

I am thinking of installing a PC5 (power Commander 5) to my RT-S SM5. My mechanic tells me that you can not spin the rear wheel on it's own i.e. Dyno, without the spyder going into limp mode. Also, the maps for USA are not compatible with Australia (Oz). Has anyone experienced any of these...

    Reverse Gear

You are spot on Scotty. You can only start when in neutral if the switch is not engaged. A mate of mine had the problem of stalling and could only restart if he put it to neutral. Once he fixed the little bugger all was well.

    Reverse Gear

I seem to have fixed the problem. Under the clutch lever is a tiny thin wire that presses onto a micro swicth when you pull the lever in. The wire must have got court on a cloth when I have been washing the spyder. I bent the wire back into place and all seems OK. Something for all SM5 owners to...

    Trailering with cover. Should I?

I don't know what you are worried about. :dontknow: I have towed my RT across Australia (East to West) and back and all the way up the East Coast from Sydney to Townsville and back, behind my Winnebago. I have the custom cover and it is lined with a soft material that does not rub the paint...

    ISO grips

Just installed a set of ISO grips (6183) to a mates RT SE5. Very simple task. We had to shave a bit of plastic off the paddle shifter to make it work. Used a Dremill. There is enough platic to shave off and still be strong. The grips look great and the shifter works perfectly. No need to cut...
