• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    M2 Spyder shocks.

I have just over a year and 10k + miles on my M2 Shocks. 5 days a week I do a 66 mile round trip, high speed commute over the 3rd World washboard that passes for canyon roads out here in SoCal. If anyone was going to lose a seal, it would be me. (and I hope I didn't just jinx myself!) The...

Are Calsci windshields shaped to the ST's contours?

As you surmised, the CalSci is cut off square at the bottom. It does not follow the contour of the fairing. The edges also light up at night, you may or may not like that. I sometimes use one during the winter up here in the mountains, back to the stock one with the warm. Depending on the size...

    Brakes sqeaking

I would hazard a guess and say that the dealership did exactly what you asked, and replaced the pads without re-surfacing the discs. (takes about 10 minutes a side to do that). Your original brake shoes glazed over the disc and you'll never get the glaze off by riding around. To do a "good...

Reoccurring not constant code & check engine light?

I had similar symptoms before my MAP Sensor went belly up. Keep an eye out for a P0107 or P0108 code getting thrown. If it fails, you'll get a hard malfunction light and the motor will only run around 4k. Not something you want to run out and pre-purchase, MAP sensors run close to two bills, but...

    taking airbox off on RS

You're showing a flat blade screwdriver bit in the first picture. Not sure why. Use a very short socket and a 1/4" breaker bar. Much lower profile.

ST panel removal to change plugs & injectors

Not a fun task, Mr. Truckracer. I would strongly suggest obtaining a copy of the Shop Manual for this procedure. Took me about 6 hours to R&R the forward plug and wire. (the aft is a piece of cake). Big hands do not help. There is more to it than what I have here in the photo, this one was taken...

Luggage Frame Bolt Pops Loose - 15 ST Limited

My 2015 had the same issue but on the right side. I wound up having to slightly clearance the forward access hole in the side panel with a pair of diagonal cutters. This allowed the side panel to flex far enough to engage the end of fastener. The first fastener started and locked is the one that...

    Vibration Start-up in Reverse

As others have said, always judders a little bit when you first take off when cold. Once everything is fully warmed up, the judder goes away. You'll never warm the transmission by idling.

    998cc VS 1330cc engines

. My 2015 STS (US ) has the same gearing. 62 mph @4500 and 71 mph @ 5200. Around 5k (70~80 mph) is where the Twin really smooths out and just glides down the highway. With the HMF muffler the Spyder is just laying down a Ducati sound track in the background. To each their own, I guess. I've...

    Review: M2 Shock Install STS

Several weeks and some 600 miles ago I purchased a set of M2 shocks that were tuned to my specifications (rider weight, style, etc) to replace the originally installed Fox shocks. Installation and initial adjustments on my 2015 STS was straightforward, per the illustrated instruction package...

what have you done to your ST for safety

I wanted to differentiate the Spyder from either a Car or a 2 wheeler. So I added ******* sourced A-Arm LED's to the front end. Very distinctive look. The back of the ST is nearly invisible in the dark. Those two little bullet lights won't get anyone's attention. And about 30% of M/C...

WIRE WHEELS for the Ryker ??

Not sure that I would be comfortable with the potential for an "Instant Flat" with tubed tires. That being said, if you throw enough money at a problem, anything is possible.

    possible purchase

Delsurfin, the ST is a wonderful ride, the 998 VTwin has plenty of power and sounds great with an aftermarket exhaust. And the more mods I throw at it, the better it gets. I went out specifically looking for an ST, didn't want the mass of an RT and I need more wind protection than an RS. I also...

    2015 st headlight change

You can get the fan type in after you pull the Instrument Panel. Small and/or young hands, help. The big mushroom looking passive heat sink type won't fit around the bails. (Ask me how I know this). Your illumination pattern will change. For me a big improvement over the Halogen fireflies.
