• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    WHAAAAAAT?! Snow in Dixie

At one point yesterday the weatherman said it was colder here in South Carolina than in Alaska. Yikes! So much for global warming in dixie.

I Am Amazed no one has mentioned the 'New Look' site!

Different strokes for different folks. The dark background, white text is better for these old eyes. Thank you for giving us the option. The white background was washing the lighter text out for me. Glide-on>>>>>>>>>>

I Killed My Battery - left it on a tender... New battery awaiting collection!

That's an understatement... I still haven't got mine back on after several tries. I also found out cursing and drinking adult beverages does help with the frustration. :gaah:

Spyder Adventures in Maggie Valley, NC

Before & after Rt #40 near Rt #74. Also, another section that has one direction impassable. This is going to take months to repair. Ashville is devastated. Prayers for all affected.

    Reminiscing About Days Gone By...

I'll say this. No one AND I mean no one ever mistook a Valkyrie for a Harley. Even the most devote Harley guys respected those beasts. Spent the best 20 years of my riding life on one. I do enjoy my Spyder, but nothing thrilled me more than that 6 shooter. :b2b:

Which do you like better; Toe shifters, or Heel-Toe shifters?

I converted my Valkyrie to a heel/toe and never looked back. To me it was a huge difference in ease of shifting. Also, enjoy the ease of paddle shifting on my spyder.

Anyone Guess what this hole is for? 2021 RT...

I have the exact same year and model as you. As someone else stated. That hole is not factory drilled. The area under the passenger footrests has no pre-drilled holes in it. Whoever owned that Spyder prior to you drilled that. IMHO, quite unnecessary I'd say.

I need help identifying a mystery part.

Don't ya just love a good mystery? In as many times as I've broken my 21 RTL down, I don't recall ever seeing a fastener like that. Great pics to help us solve it. Looks like it threads onto some kind of rod.

Discussing Throttle-by-wire, throttle response, and Pedal Commander 'improvements'

IMHO. It's more the time it takes a human to twist the throttle wide open vs an immediate electronic response to wide open throttle with a slight twist of the wrist. All I know is that my Spyder really came to life when I added the Peddle Commander, so much so, that I had to dial it back from...

Spyder owners are stuck up - why is this so?? Please explain...

I wave if I see them coming. Not always the case as sometimes I'm either enjoying the scenery :ohyea: or behind a vehicle and don't see them coming. The only exception is the squids on the crotch rockets that never wave. Then again, they're probably too busy holding on for their lives with both...

Best alignment to be found! Union SC.

Good to know. Sounds like a day trip from Murrells inlet, SC to Union, SC. Do you also install tires?

Does any Spyder have Autonomous Braking?

Autonomous parking......... Another case of AI taking control in place of Human reaction. Soon the cars will be completely controlled by AI. Be careful, Skynet is watching you! Hasta-la-vista humanity. :lecturef_smilie: ;)
