• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Short reach handlebar question

I added some risers and had a similar problem. I used an "old-fashioned" fix. I took an aluminum soft drink can and cut strips to fit under the clamps. I placed the strips on a piece of wood and then, with a screwdriver or file (can't remember which), I struck/tapped it with a hammer to make...

Need help identifying a possible missing part on my 2016 F3-T

Hello, I am getting ready to sell my 2016 Can-Am Spyder F3-T. In the process of getting it ready and taking photos, I noticed that a part may be missing. It may have come loose and fallen off while riding. It is behind the attachment point for the left front swing arm and part of what is...

Battery tender connection-where the heck is it?

no hole needed I ran the tender pigtail around the outside of the frunk liner. There was no need to make a hole in the liner. You should be able to see it in the photo in my previous post.

Battery tender connection-where the heck is it?

Frunk I have a 2016 F3-T. My battery tender connection is in the frunk. It was obvious when I opened the frunk, as the dealer had threaded it over the frunk gasket. Since this caused a leak in the frunk, I rerouted mine around the edge of the frunk, so that the end of the connector sits in...

    Stage 1 Modification?

Hello, My 2016 F3-T runs pretty hot. When this was a problem on my Harley, I had a Stage 1 modification done on it (replaced the catalytic converter-containing pipes with slip on mufflers, installed a high flow K&N air filter, and did a remap/reflash on my ECU). Does the Spyder dealership do...

F3-T Drifting Slightly to the Right

Arggh. No I did not realize this. I may have discovered this in the process, but thanks for alerting me to to this fact ahead of time. What I probably will do is let the dealer do this when I get my 3,000 mile servicing done. Thanks again for the heads up

F3-T Drifting Slightly to the Right

Yes, I do I do have the stock Kenda tires in front. Perhaps if I swap the right and left front tires I might get a clue about what's going on. What do you think? I would assume that if it were the tires, swapping them would result in my drift moving to the left. if it's the alignment, it...

F3-T Drifting Slightly to the Right

Hello, My F3-T drifts slightly to the right when I set the cruise control and release my hold on the grips. I am pretty sure it's not due to the crown in the road (I have tried it in the middle of the road, etc.), unless Spyders are ultra-sensitive to grade. I have a BajaRon Sway Bar and have...

Adjusting Shock Preload on a Stock Spyder F3-T - Is Spring Compression Necessary?

Thanks Thanks for your response. I have installed a BajaRon sway bar which has worked wonders for the handling of the F3-T. The ride seems a little stiffer, so I really would like to loosen up the preload a bit and see if I can get a somewhat softer ride.

Adjusting Shock Preload on a Stock Spyder F3-T - Is Spring Compression Necessary?

Hello, I would like to reduce the preload on my stock F3-T shocks. I plan to jack up the front end to allow loosening of the two nuts at the bottom of the shock. I was wondering if that is all I need to do in order to use the shock spanner wrench to loosen the lock nut, lower the adjuster...

Jacking up the front end on a 2016 F3-T

I want to adjust the shocks on my 2016 Spyder F3-T. I have been looking a floor jacks, but even most of the "low profile" ones look like they would have trouble getting under the Spyder. Also, I am not quite sure where on the Spyder I would position the jack for lifting. This can't be done on...

Baja Ron Sway Bar Impressions - 2016 Spyder F3-T

I had the Baja Ron Sway bar installed on my 2016 F3-T by a dealer recently (got ripped off in price, but I did not want to do it myself - off to a different dealer next time). I agree with previous posters that it has made a significant difference in handling. The bike is much more stable and...

    Burning Rubber Smell

No problem I took the Spyder in for some work. Tech says that the smell is not a problem. Everything checks out OK. It may be some of the protective coating they apply to the pipes burning off. It seems to have diminished some, so I am not going to worry about it.

    Burning Rubber Smell

My 2016 Spyder F3-T has about 1300 miles on it. After a ride, when I park it in the garage, I get what smells like burning rubber. Not too strong, but definitely noticeable. I thought maybe it was just "newness" burning off. I am wondering if the belt is misaligned, but I don't see any fraying...

How many of us are still riding two wheel motorcyles?

Still have my Harley Just finished a 3170 miles trip over 11 days, including the entire Blue Ridge Parkway, on my extremely comfortable 2012 Harley Heritage Softail Classic. Still need windshield, highway pegs, and seat upgrades to attempt that on my Spyder F3-T.

    Foam Grip Question

OK, so maybe I am picking nits here, but I was wondering if anyone has been able to make a direct comparison between two sources for foam grips for the Can-Am Spyders F3 series. One is from Lamonster Garage (http://www.lamonstergarage.com/foam-grip-covers/). The blurb claims they are 50%...
