• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it Safe to Carry a new/replacement Tire on the passenger seat of an RT?

Has anyone tried to carry a Spyder tire on the passenger seat of an RT? I’m going to need a new one soon; so, I was thinking of purchasing one, then taking it to my mechanic who is about 1.5hrs away. I know he prefers that I not to have it shipped directly to him unless there is no other option...

Headlight bulb replacement - what are the bulb types?

I have a somewhat related question about Spyder headlights. The owners manual says the North American Spyder uses 60w bulbs. My local auto parts supply has 60w and brighter 65w bulbs. Question....Can the Spyder handle 65w bulbs without blowing the fuse? (Yes, I know LEDs are better, but I've...

Does it cost this much for Brake fluid change from dealership?

I don't remember where I read this, but I believe BRP recommends flushing the system twice with BUDs. My mechanic (BRP trained but now independent) used BRPs method and used just over 4 bottles of fluid. I discussed with him the necessity of doing it BRP's way vs the above suggestions, he told...

What bulbs do the Fog lamps use?

I am a bit confused. I have a 2016 RT-L with a burned out fog lamp. Is the bulb H8:or H11? Can I buy a replacement build at any auto parts store or do I need to buy the can-am version? Thank you….Brian

    Moving/towing a dead Spyder

Nope. When I check the oil on my Spyder after sitting in the garage all winter, the dipstick is dry. In the spring after riding a bit then idling for several minutes as per BRP, oil level shows normal.

    Red Dust front sprocket

We have a 2016 RT-L with 23,700km (14,700miles). During my spring pre-season check, I noticed red dust starting to appear of the front sprocket. A few questions... - Is the RT and F3 front sprocket the same part #. In reading the forums I believe the new part is #705503244 - Is there a TSB or...

    Dealer brake fluid change

Here is a photo of my back wheel. Is the rubber covered nipple the bleeder? Also, I was looking at the brake bleeding section of my service manual. It recommends doing the bleeding 3 times! Doing all wheels and abs by pressing the brake pedal, using buds to flush both brake circuits, then doing...

    Dealer brake fluid change

If I remove all the old fluid from the reservoir, won’t that let air into the system, which would mean I’d need buds to flush the abs? I was hoping to just flush and not let air into the lines. Also, when installing the speedbleeders, is much air allowed in? Than you for your expertise...

    Dealer brake fluid change

I was watching a YouTube about bleeding Spyder brakes. The guy said the front calipers must be removed first so the bleeder valve is at the top. He also said the rear muffler needs to be removed to access the bleeder. Is this true? I’ve never blead brakes before, but I thought I’d just have to...

How difficult is it to flush the brake fluid on a 2015 F3S Spyder?

Covering Brake guild reservoir? I have a 16 RT which is 2 years old. During my pre-winter service the dealer said the brake fluid was very dark. I assume it was 3years old (2 riding and 1 in the crate). Since thespyder is now in my garage waiting for spring, would it make sense to cover the...
