• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Break-light flashes when downshifting?

Decelerometer can be annoying until you get it adjusted properly ... I have the GearBrake system. I put it on my 2015 RT-S soon after they became available. Probably the only thing I've ever been an 'early adopter' on, but I wanted something that would make the brake lights flash when I...

I've put 6,000 miles on her, but still have questions

Took a while, but squeak seems to be gone Somewhere around 7-8,000 miles the squeak seemed to go away. Bike is now over 12,000 and it hasn't come back. So fingers crossed that this is just something that takes its dear sweet time breaking in.

install a krendlelock on a rt limited

My two cents --- and extreme thanks! Highly recommend this product, especially with the WONDERFUL PHOTOS that make it stupid-simple to install! I am mechanically challenged and even I was able to install it in less than 10 minutes. Best of all, my GPS sun shade (Glare Stomper #322) is not in...

    Anyone in Hampton Roads...

sorry for delay Just came across this post. If you are installing the Gear Brake Smart Brake module (the decelerometer), you don't really have to remove anything! I just copied this from my other post, so if it didn't come out ok, just search the threads for Gear Brake. To install, look for...

To Tint, or Not To Tint ...

good idea :agree: Would love to see a picture! After reading the comments, I'm going to NOT go with a tinted windshield. I'm already wearing sunglasses, and lowering the sunshade in my helmet. So next I'll add the window tint to the upper portion of my visor. But yes, I have to head due...

To Tint, or Not To Tint ...

So I think I'm thinking of getting the F4 Stock height Tinted windshield in wide, and with a vent. But I've got a couple questions/concerns: I want tinted as I recently drove straight into an early morning sun (couldn't be helped) and even sunglasses and the helmet sunshade were not enough to...

    Ryding in the rain

Yes - make sure it's Rain-X for PLASTIC :agree::agree::agree::agree::agree: Regular Rain-X will ruin your helmet and bike in a hurry, but they make one specifically for the plastic windshields of motorcycles and boats (works on visors too). I haven't found a local source, but you can buy it...

    How do yo make the........

Tiny change from 2015 and 2016 I think this is just one tiny thing that changed in between the 2015 and 2016 models. My 2015 RT-S requires the 'boot-up' before I can start the engine, unless as was previously mentioned, it was a quick stop for gas. However, I also have two friends who own...

    Gear Brake Decelerometer Discount

Installation of Gear Brake Guess I should have explained the installation better ... Lift seat, it's on the left (as you sit on the bike) and for the RT at least, there's a wire coming out of it that connects to the seat. Pull panel a bit to the left, and you can pop it up enough to get...

    Gear Brake Decelerometer Discount

Because our bikes slow down so quickly when you get off the throttle, I had been looking for a Decelerometer combined with the flashing for the brake lights. You know, something to keep me from getting read-ended. Found the Gear Brake Smart Brake module, got it installed in 5 minutes, and then...

Need help identifying the right connector

So glad I found this post ... installed in 3 minutes! I came across this post while looking to see exactly how I was supposed to install the Gear Brake I ordered. And once I saw the photos above showing where the wires were, I looked, and low and behold I didn't have to undo a single screw...

    Blue Ridge Parkway

Agree that 150 might be better IF - and only IF - you have done the BRP before, or have easy enough access to do it once or twice a year, would you want to do 200 or more miles a day. Even when the speed limit is 45, you can get stuck behind those RV's, and as someone mentioned, the speed can...

Best RT Farkles for the mechanically challenged

So I'll add the LED's to the Farkle list BUT If someone who has an idea what they're doing has an issue, then this will go on the dealer list. Not really an issue as it will be going in for the 10,000 mile checkup before the end of the year and I figure if I have them do everything at once...

Best RT Farkles for the mechanically challenged

Was just about to order ... In looking at your photos, the Kradelock doesn't cover the release button. But I though that was how it worked - by making it so the GPS can't be 'released'. Am I missing something? I want to be able to leave the GPS on 24/7, but don't want to spend $170 on...

    Rear brake/turn leds

Easy DIY I got these: http://www.lamonstergarage.com/rt-brt-rear-lighting-kit-brake-run-turn/ And they truly are DIY! And I am very, VERY mechanically challenged. Everything I needed was included, and except for help getting the read panel on [sometimes you need a third hand!], I did...

Spyder Rider Killed in crash in Tucson.

So very sad :pray::pray: for the family. When I saw the wreckage, my only thought was "How could speed NOT be a factor?!?" Report said that the van hit the Spyder [instead of Spyder hitting van], which would make sense as the driver was thrown off - but looking at that mess, how fast...

Di your Stebel come with the bracket? If so where did you order it from? Don't want to have to make my own.

Best RT Farkles for the mechanically challenged

Kradellock Already did the 3rd & 4th brakelights. That's what convinced me I was good to do "plug-n-play" by myself. I already have the 590 installed on the Tri-Axis bars ... how does the Kradellock work with that? Can you send photos?

Best RT Farkles for the mechanically challenged

Rhino Ramps I have Rhino ramps that we use for the cars & trucks, would that lift the front high enough to get under it? And while I won't drill, maybe - just maybe - I can convince my dear sweet hubby to do it.
