• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Will Charging the Camper's Battery off my Spyder overload the Alternator

I can agree to a point if all you are doing is charging a phone. However I am using it for lights in the camper and trailer, a 12 volt fan to keep us cool, charging two headsets, two phones, two Thermocell bug repellers, one computer, and sometimes watches. I have yet to find a pack that will do...

Will Charging the Camper's Battery off my Spyder overload the Alternator

No isolator or relay. If I was tapping into the system somewhere like to the alternator, I would use one or the other. Running right to the battery, all it amounts to is three parallel batteries. Again everything is fused on trailer side and on buke side just in case something goes wrong. I had...

Will Charging the Camper's Battery off my Spyder overload the Alternator

No, I just didnt think about drawing in a 120 volt cord to it. If you look at the 2nd set of pics in this link, https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...Classic-mods-1 you will see where the cord plugs into the exterior of the trailer. The charger is GENIUS10 6V/12V 10-Amp Smart Battery Charger.

Will Charging the Camper's Battery off my Spyder overload the Alternator

Needless to say, the 7way is the middle connection in this.

Will Charging the Camper's Battery off my Spyder overload the Alternator

I didn't make one, but I am sure I can draw one up. Do you want the entire thing from battery, bike, to the converter for the lights, to the 7way, then on into the trailer, or just the charging system for the batteries?

Will Charging the Camper's Battery off my Spyder overload the Alternator

here is the thread on the Aspen project. It charges as you drive, and has a built in battery charger. We charge headsets, phones, watches, computer, run LED lights in the lower basment of the trailer when the lid is lifted, and LED lights inside the tent camper, along with a 12 volt fan to keep...

Will Charging the Camper's Battery off my Spyder overload the Alternator

I have been doing this for years, have this hookup on the old Bunkhouse camper and the 2015 spyder, and have the setup on the Aspen camper and the 2022 spyder. I ran a fused link from the battery to a 7way connecter, then the trailer plugs in and charges as I drive. Here are a couple of pics. I...

    First EV Roadtrip

I look at all the people in motorhomes towing cars behind, and I have wondered why some electric car company has not made their car charge as it is being towed. Every time you stopped your car would be charged and ready to go without having to stop somewhere and charge on the trip, or looking...

    Puzzle, pics, keepsake

My wife and I love doing puzzles in the wintertime to pass the time when not riding. We found a site recently that will turn a good quality pic that you upload into a puzzle. I received 3 of them and they are of great quality. I had some pics made into puzzles.

What does it take to play MP3's on a 2023 RT?

I think you are right. You still have to connect the phone VIA Bluetooth and then plug in the USB to get the apps to work, no sound without the either the Bluetooth or Aux connections. Usb is for charging and app function.

Will there be enough room in a 6' x 10' Trailer to tie down RT?

I had one, the ramp was wide enough, but the cables brackets and cables that lifted the door were too narrow. I sold it and am looking for something a little wider.

What The Heck Is Going On With My Belt???

I had that on the belt on my 2015 and found a stone caught in the grove of the rear sprocket. I removed it and never had a problem with the belt for next 40,000 miles I owned it. That belt is still on the bike and working today with the new owner.

Can anyone explain what aftermarket end links actually DO?

Let me see, in your original post you asked “Can anyone explain what aftermarket end links actually DO?” Ron quite eloquently did just that with much detail, so that question was answered. Others informed you of their experience’s after putting them on. You then tried to reason why the flex...
