• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can-Am Front wheel rim is directional. Anyone else have these?

I run that set of wheels on my '15 RS. I could be wrong but I just examined the wheels and there is no indicator on the wheel as to which side/direction it should be mounted. What is directional are the silver "blades" which are removable and come in left and right hand sides. The picture...

    XPS engine oil

Back to the original topic of this thread, I was curious also because I accidentally bought some of the XPS 4T oil and haven't used it because I thought it was wrong for my RS. I contacted XPS and asked them about it. Here is their response: XPS_Lubricants <[email protected]> 11:55 AM...

    Moving to Florida

Central Florida Powersports in Kissimmee is only 1.5 hours away from New Smyrna Beach. Call ahead and ask for Kenny Butler. They will take care of you. I drive 250 miles from Southern Miami-Dade County to have important work done. At last visit I had them replace my rear tire with a Kumho...

Installing Ram ball mount on center bolt

You have to remove the original bolt and replace it with a longer bolt and spacer to allow the ram mount to fit.

Installing Ram ball mount on center bolt

You really need a hex bit socket to do this job. The bolts are on really tight with locktite.

Adding cruise control to a 2015 RS SE5

The grip itself doesn't need to be removed but in working on it I managed to displace the spring. The RH housing is plug and play but the plug is on the other end of the wiring and firmly attached within the housing.

    Comfort Impossible for a RSS?

Glad that it worked out. Thank you for the compliment on the wrap. It's hard to tell from my picture but I also replaced my bars with the RT version. It was the best mod that I have done - much more comfortable riding position for me.

    Comfort Impossible for a RSS?

I suspect that you may have created a loose connection when you moved the ignition switch. There are 2 electronic cables coming from the switch. I believe that the longer of the 2 is the DESS ignition antenna. If that were dislodged I think you would get a DESS error, therefore I would check...

    rt sm5 clutch problems

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I am having the same problem. I have a 2014 RS SM5 with 7400 miles. Went riding yesterday afternoon and noticed some difficulty with shifting - a little harder than usual. Further into the ride I noticed that I had very little free play in the clutch. I...

    Madstad Windshield..You Like it?

I literally just got back from a test ride with a new Madstad windshield. I am 5' 9" tall with a 29 in inseam and have a '15 RS with RT bars and a BRP comfort seat which sits me upright and back 2 inches. I originally tried a 20 in. shield but experienced significant head buffeting at 60 mph...

Question on what is going to be my winter project

The $369 price is in Canadian dollars. At the current exchange rate the price would be $281. With regard to doing your own wrap, it's not easy but it is doable if you take your time. You can remove and reposition sections if at first you don't succeed. The rear side panels were the most...

Question on what is going to be my winter project

I purchased my wrap from this company http://www.spiralusspyder.com/Graphickits.html and all of their wraps for the GS/RS fit all years. I think that they are all based on the same digital template. The Spiralus wraps are considerably less expensive than the AMR Racing. Mine only cost $285...

    BRP Installation Instructions

Late last night I went to look at something in the on-line owner's manuals (oil related) and found what I thought was a new information offering from BRP - instructions for installing all of the accessories that BRP sells for their products. When I went to look at it this morning, the page had...

Yes, I put RT handlebars on my SM5 RS

I swapped my handlebars also. For those who might be interested, this is what the underside cover looks like after the minor surgery to make it work with the clutch lever and cable. I found it pretty easy to do - 2 snips and a little dremel work to smooth it out - and for the most part, you...

Okay so where do position my Spyder? Opinions?

As a general rule of thumb, your Spyder should be positioned inside the trailer so that the tongue weight is 10% to 12% of the total weight of the trailer plus Spyder. If you google "trailer tongue weight" you will find several descriptions of how to determine tongue weight.
